  1. that is exactly what they do. I made an order of about 12 patches during their sale last year and they did that to me, I called them and talked to someone there who actually tried to justify it as a legit shipping price from Canada. never ordering patches from them again.
  2. one of 2 reasons I don't order patches from RCS anymore, the other being most of them are remakes that are pretty far from the originals.
  3. pretty sure you could type it either of those ways, or as LeMiEuX and they'll still customize it as it was the year your jersey was current.

beware this seller from 'good old indiana', I noticed none of his pictures matched and had him send me pics of the actual jerseys he was selling. nothing but fakes, he's just taking pics from other auctions of legit jerseys and using them. hence the 'you are bidding on the jersey in the title description' disclaimer. http://cgi.ebay.com/Marian-Hossa-blackhawks-jersey-NWT-size-52-NEW-3RD-/200521998678?pt=U_Hockey_Fan_Shop&hash=item2eb00ae156
  7. agreed. anytime you can put a patch on I think it adds to the jersey and makes it that much cooler looking and more special, and besides if you're going to spend the cash to get it customized you might as well make it 100% accurate.
  8. digging the old Sabres jersey, looks great with the patch
  9. if all you want is a replica why not just get a CCM from that period on ebay for around $30 and add a patch? even after lettering you're still well under $100.
  10. yeah I'm not sure what I want to do with it. I paid a decent amount for it, more than I would have paid for a fixer-upper, so I may send it back. whats weird is that since it has the Gunzo's tag it has to have originated as a Hawks jersey and not a blank I think.
  11. you're right, I looked at the murph and pat patches and it definitely looks the same. so what do you think this thing is? like I said, the elbow padding is sewn in exactly like every CCM authentic I have, same with the fight strap. do you think this could be a really well altered replica or that just the patches came off the original at some point?
  12. no, but they have authentic characteristics besides that- 'ropes' that go all the way through and round bottom on the ax handles.
  13. apparently I did a crappy job of looking at the shoulder patches on this thing. I've heard of the reverse tomahawks patches before but since gameworn.net appears to be down I can't look up the info I found before on there. these ones are more similar to the white jersey patches than anything, however they don't have the chain stitching so maybe they were replacements for older ones that fell off? as far as a game issued I highly doubt it, on gamers the gunzo's logo or goalie man or both are embroidered from what I've read, and on this its screened. this thing is becoming an oddity the more I look it over for sure. EDIT: found this album of old game worns, there's a pic of the reverse tomahawks on the red Panger jersey. http://sports.webshots.com/album/576564027VLqsNJ
  14. Blackhawks and Avalanche mainly, although I have a few other randoms most of those have been sold off.
  15. yes it was, got after a bit of haggling on price. yeah if I ever have $5k to blow the gamer will be mine! and yeah you're right, I didn't notice that on the shoulder patches. never seen that before, maybe a thing on older retails?
  16. my grail has arrived! (non-gw at least) this is the jersey I've been after for years, watching Savy at the old stadium in the 80's is what really got me into hockey as a little kid, and I'm beyond happy to finally have one of these. stick tap to Brilliant! for helping me make sure this was what it appeared to be. from what I can tell this most closely resembles an 86/87 mesh playoff jersey, that being the 2nd of 2 years that Gunzo's had the 'goalie man' logo and the 1st year the Hawks used the newer style fight strap.
  17. I have a Pro Player replica and I would say it fits just a hair bigger than the 550's, but its barely noticeable. and to reiterate the point, they are amazing quality replicas, definitely pick one up if you can.

he won't get half of what he's trying to sell those for.
  19. wasn't planning on getting any jerseys today but 3 made their way to me anyway. these 2 I got relatively cheap via ebay local pickups- Starter mesh this one I got at the Goodwill for $4. crazy. I know nothing about international jerseys, can someone tell me what year/tournament this is from? also, I'll probably trade it if anyone wants it.
  20. I can ask them. Burnabyjoesakic would probably know the answer to that. nice, glad that one made it to good hands. Buff is a good choice, you could also get Keith, Seabrook, Brouwer, or Bolland for current players.
  21. I'm going to be dropping off a few jerseys there in the near future

why is it a prototype, did Nike never make Lightning jerseys?
  23. a sweatshirt that someone decided to call a jersey in the hope it would sell for more?

the crest is the biggest giveaway, its the same awful looking 'smiling indian' the fakers use on the newer jerseys. and everything mdwsta4 just stated. it's an obvious fake, and that worries me that these are around now.
