Zero. I wear a mask whenever I use the stuff and once the jersey air's out I wash it two times to make sure that crap is off of it completely. Now that I know the type of work a dry cleaner can do I will be using it a lot less.

Might as well swap out the C for an A to make it a correct 88-89 jersey.

That's a really nice Gretzky but that jersey is an 88-89 and Gretzky got his 1851 point at the beginning of the 89-90 season when the jersey's had the new CCM font on the hem but no Shield. Also Gretzky wasn't the captain in 88-89. Not sure how you are with accuracy but I thought I would point it out.

Haven't posted a new pickup in awhile but my camera crapped out on me and I haven't replaced it yet. I was excited about this pickup so I took a couple pictures with my old camera which doesn't take the best quality pictures as you can see lol. Anyways, I saw an auction for a LA Kings jersey that had about 20 auto's on it that came with two LA Kings 30th anniversary pucks with holders, a auto'd program, and a poster that was at $20 with no bids. I decided if I could get it for the $20 I would take a chance on the jersey and see if I could get all the auto's off it then re-sell the rest of the stuff for $10-$20 and end up with a clean jersey for little to no money out of my pocket. Here is what I was dealing with when the jersey arrived. It's hard to see but the entire bottom half of the jersey is covered in light blue auto's. I hit the jersey with goof-off, goo-gone, paint thinner, acetone, alcohol, bleach, and nail polish remover all of which did nothing but make the jersey smell like crap. As a last ditch effort I figured I would spend the $10 and take it to the dry cleaners to see if they could do anything with it but I wasn't expecting much considering all the things I tried that didn't affect the auto's one bit. Boy was I surprised when I picked it up today; So in total with the dry cleaning this cost me about $50 minus whatever I can get for the pucks, poster, and program which I hope is around $10-$20. I am gonna do another Gretzky with this and make it into a 93 finals jersey even though my beloved Leafs should have been the ones in that final lol.
  9. The R in Crosby is wrong and the white twill on the numbers looks the same as the fakes so I'm gonna say it's a fake but it may be an authentic with a horrible customization on it.
  10. Here is the way I strip jerseys and have never had a problem. 1. Use a seam ripper to remove all the threads off the letters/numbers. If only the bottom layer is stiched to the jersey then just remove the stitching from that layer etc. Rip the stitches from the top of the twill side not the jersey side and be careful not to damage the jersey material with the seam ripper. 2. Once that's done get yourself some goof-off adhesive remove. Turn the jersey inside out and apply the goof-off to the stuff you want to remove. Let it sit for a few minutes. Goof-off stinks to high hell so if you use it do so in a well ventilated area and leave the jersey outside if possible once done to air out. 3. Start to peel off the letters/numbers slowly. If they are still sticking to the jersey then use more goof-off, you don't want to rip the numbers/letters off if they're still stuck because you can damage the jersey and the new numbers you put on may not cover up the damage. Once you have everything off if there is still some glue residue hit it with more goof-off and use a soft brush to remove it. Don't scrub too hard because again you can damage the jersey material. 4. If everything is off and there are no noticable marks/stains/outlines etc. wash the jersey once the smell from the goof-off goes away. If the old stuff left dye outlines or stuff the goof-off couldn't remove then take the jersey to the dry cleaners and let them remove the rest. You'll be surprised what they can get out. One word of caution do not touch the jersey with an iron until all stains/outlines/glue residue is removed. If you touch the jersey with an iron while that stuff is still on it you will only set them in and make it a lot harder to remove.
  11. That one's good but a little overpriced.
  12. bah, burn that thing lol. I wanna take a shot at the leafs but the seller worries me. No transactions in over a year and the last one ended up in a negative, I think I'll have to pass.

that's pretty conclusive right there. You can see the CCM on the left side of the hem. I've seen some of his all star jerseys double tagged as well.
  14. could be a maple leafs. If it is send it my way and nobody will get hurt.

Didn't know that either. Even though twill is correct I hate the look of it as a nameplate and would still use ultrafil like I did on my Selanne.
  16. Yeah that one is smaller and goes on the white Rangers jersey only. They made the patch smaller to fit between the stripes on the shoulder area.
  17. I'm currently doing up a Canucks into a 94 finals as well and used this patch for it; 94 finals patch Yeah I know it's not 100% accurate but like you said good luck finding a real one. I don't know how particular you are when it comes to this kind of thing but for me and patches if I can't get an original then I just pick up whatever I can find that looks as close to the original as possible and be done with it.

If there is a place over there that can do the sewing you can pick up a Redwings kit cheaply from a place like gamedaysportsarchives and have them send it to you in austrailia and then have someone local sew it on for you.

Nice pickups on the Detroit threesome. The customization on the Fedorov has to be re-done though as the name is wrong like you said but the numbers don't look right as well especially the 9's. The Yzerman looks to have the right numbers but the Fedorov doesn't.
  20. Faker then a 3 dollar bill and I'm sorry to say absolutely not worth the $150usd that was paid for it.
  21. *EDIT* I don't know what I'm talking about lol
  22. Tough to say without pictures but it sounds like you have a fake because of what you listed above although $140usd for a fake is not good at all as you can buy fakes for about $75usd or less.

Yup that Rangers alt is a beauty that you do not see very often. The fact that it still has the tags and nameplate make it that much better but I thought the Rags didn't use nameplates. Anyways, who you gonna put on it?
  24. I'd keep persuing until a resolution is made. Why should you have to keep something you didn't order? Try another email and if they don't respond then escalate it to a claim through ebay. I'm sure you'll be able to find the other patch's you need through other sources anyway.
