  1. View the official version at http://mle073.wix.com/thejerseyglossary ! From time to time, I coin phrases that relate to jersey collecting. I thought I might not be the only one, so I figured why not start a thread about it? Larry Murphy's Law: Murphy's Law states that if something can go wrong, it probably will. Larry Murphy's Law is the same thing applied to jerseys, like: You buy a new authentic, player gets traded. The jersey you have been waiting for becomes available at the exact moment you don't have the funds to buy it. And so on. Third Thoughts: You buy a jersey, only to have second thoughts and you list it for sale. Then you remember why you bought it and you take down your sale. Congrats, you just had third thoughts. Anyone else have any?

Hurry, this one is about 33% off. Unfortunately, it's not off the price. http://www.ebay.com/itm/CCM-Albany-River-Rats-AHL-Hockey-Jersey-Mens-Size-XL-Red-/291704963652?hash=item43eaf88244:g:loQAAOSwh-1W4Np4
  3. But seriously, definitely like the Iginla, I liked that style.
  4. Doesn't EPS do the Devils' jerseys? Just sayin'.
  5. Mickey took over a whole city in Florida. Don't doubt the mouse.

If any of you gentlemen happen to have a size 56 or a larger fitting size 54 vintage Devils laying around that you don't really need, PM me, I'll relieve you of your burden.
  7. That is pretty beat. If I collected gamers that would be awesome, I imagine
  8. That White is awesome. I am not sure why I haven't added a Colin White jersey to my collection. I will have to remedy that one day.

Hey, at least it went to a guy who doesn't even list the Devils among his top four favorite teams! #Unfair.

Gotta love when that happens. My white vintage Daneyko was that way, sort of. Opening bid was $300, and I had a max bid way higher than that. But nobody else bid so it was $300 to me. Was advertised as a 54, but the measurements listed indicated a 56. It fits like a 56 to me. Can't find the picture of the back, but here's the front.

I'm perpetually seeking a 56; but with all you non-Devils fans looking to grab our super awesome jerseys, it'll likely never happen.

I'd try to outbid him, but he'd "flat out" beat me.

He signed up with this site and had posted in the "Where do you get your Edge jerseys" thread; shoot him a pm!
  19. You're going to get to the point where driving to Illinois and hand delivering them makes more financial sense than shipping/insuring them, you know that, right? Road trip!!!
  20. i was more referring to collector orders "keeping the lights on"; at 5% that isn't what keeps the shop running. Its the other 95%. That's all I meant.
  21. That's what Josh has told me in discussions I've had, its the team orders keeping the business going, not the collector orders. I think he told me collector orders make up 4-5% of his business. I figure JoeM7392 and I account for 3-4%. Its understanding that aspect of the process which makes me wait the long wait time. If that's what I need to do to assure I get back what I want, then so be it. Josh has never been outright rude to me, its clear sometimes from his responses that e-mails from collectors are not something he really wants to be dealing with, but overall he's a good dude. And I definitely understand where you are coming from, JunkyardAthletic, I don't even want to sell an existing jersey to some of these picky bastards, let alone do the work!
  22. Josh is a little "salty" at times, and honestly, I think he does prefer the team orders over doing stuff for collectors. I think he minds less when its a guy like me, and more when its a guy who whips out a slide rule and tells him the angle of the corner of a letter is off by 0.05%, so it has to be re-done. The wait time is long, but the work is phenomenal. As a Devils fan, it doesn't make any sense for me to send stuff to Canada rather than to send it to the team's official customizer. That being said, I have a couple non-Devils things coming up (hopefully) that I may give Keener a shot on.
  23. I've only used Keener once, but I've never heard anyone complain they were inaccurate.
