  1. I can say with 100% accuracy I have no idea what type of fight strap snaps (no idea why people call them “buttons”, as they do not button) are on any of my jerseys.
  2. Long, yes. Excessively long? Not for them. It happens and the fact that yours are old IHL explains the delay. Just reach out and ask.
  3. Agreed, I don’t think it makes sense to buy one you can’t fit into. But to be “accurate”, you’d have to. Or at least sew a 54 size tag in there. Point being, once that accommodation is made, what difference does neck tagging make? It won’t ever be “accurate”.
  4. Right, and to finally find that jersey you’ve been looking for, only to reveal the neck tagging is incorrect? Not me. But, I certainly don’t begrudge anyone for doing so. But if you are going to go through all that trouble, then you should also consider the size the actual player wore. If you follow all of the neck tagging rules and the size tag is “wrong”, how accurate were you?
  5. My take? If the jersey is right on the outside, I can care less what tags are inside. That’s how I choose to participate in the hobby. If people want to spend their time trying to source the exact jersey with the exact tagging, and then track down authentic patches, and then have the correct customizer do the work, more power to them and I’m glad they found a way to participate in the hobby that they can enjoy.
  6. I would say that’s right. The 58G would be significantly wider, I think ultimately you could still pull it off, but it’d look baggy. Some folks like that, some don’t.
  7. No that would exclude the gussets, if the pattern is the same. A 58 is 30” with the gussets, which means the 58G is 3.5” wider. A 56 is 29” with the gussets, so if you add the same 3.5”, a 56G would be 32.5” with the gussets. I’ve never measured (nor seen) a 56G, I’m only guessing based on the measurements of a 56, 58, and 58G.
  8. A 58G is 30” across the chest, 33.5” if you include the underarm gussets, 33.25” long, 30” across the bottom hem, and 32.25” from the center of the collar to the end of the sleeve. A 58 player cut is 2 inches narrower than a 58G. If 56’s follow the same pattern, a 56G would be 29” pit to pit.
  9. That is a phenomenal observation.
  10. Yup, not sure what all teams do, but my Devils jerseys have the Edge material nameplates, not airknit. Not sure if any teams use Airknit.
  11. If you ever plan on selling it as more than an authentic, then clean it up and do whatever you like. If you want to keep the provenance, then don’t alter it alto much, just stick on the nameplate like Little Miss Sunshine said to.
  12. I purchased them today, so I will be taking care of it.
  13. He forgot author. Favorite gay Canadian vampire author is more distinguished.
  14. That’s definitely not anything any “she” ever said.
  15. Do you need someone to be a go-between? Cover the costs and I’ll do it for you. PM me if so.
  16. I’ll admit, as a Devils fan I never watched the Blues as a kid, but I totally bought into Hull’s attempt at Gretzky’s single goal record. That led me to collect his cards, which led me to look at Blues jerseys a lot. This one is an absolute classic that should never have been changed.
  17. I have checked the local places a bunch of times and found zero jerseys, just the usual crap.
  18. That’s how it should be. Don’t interfere in other people’s sales.
  19. Do you think they would? Could you send them a Pens jersey and tell them to Crosby the hell out of it?
  20. So basically, Crosby is high maintenance. I can see that.
  21. Dude’s name is Josh Getzoff. I bet he does, you dog!!
  22. One of the rare extra patches permitted during Lou’s reign. Always liked Oduya, his time in NJ was too short. Obviously I’m also salty about how his trade worked out. Great pre-Edge addition to your collection.
