  1. i know! i'm pretty ###### surprised. after making the Attorney General threat known to them, it only took 15 minutes for them to email me and say they'd send a check for the full refund. today, out of the blue, the jersey shows up. i'd rather have the jersey, though.
  2. well, it was worth the wait and the trouble. after all the emails, the threat of a call to the Attorney General of Virginia and all the stress, this finally came today:
  3. hmm. do you just pull them off or is there a way you make it easier to remove? the main thing i'm worried about is that since the number is, of course, 48, that those are two larger sized numbers and might be able to be seen after the second customization.
  4. a few years ago, before i knew about IJ and the horrors that are shop.nhl.com's customization of premier jerseys, i ordered a black Danny Briere Flyers jersey. i hate the jersey so much that i've only worn it about 3 times since the winter of 07 and it currently sits in my parent's basement, buried under other clothes. but, i ask, why let a perfectly good jersey go to waste? does anyone know how to remove the plastic numbers from the jerseys safely? has anyone attempted such a thing? is it possible to get it properly customized afterwards?
  5. thanks for the info guys. i'll be sure to heed your suggestions.
  6. yesterday, the Fan Gear store at the Wachovia Center ran a buy one-get one sale on the black alternate, white away and Winter Classic jerseys, so i ran down there from school and grabbed two blank jerseys with plans to send them to IceJerseys for customization. i was thinking about getting one customized with James Van Riemsdyk. i was just curious/wanted to make sure that, if i shipped it to IJ, it would be customized correctly with small letters used for Van, a space between the two, and large lettering for Riemsdyk as pictured below. i've seen a few JVR jerseys around the arena with large lettering for both and/or both bits have been scrunched together. do not want. has anyone ordered a JVR jersey from IJ? what did it look like?
  7. yeah, so do i. if i don't get it, i'm calling the attorney general. i might call anyway so no one else gets ripped off. i don't think we've heard from Ethan as of yet.
  8. that was quick 15 minutes after sending the message, Catherine A. Basch sent me a reply stating they'd refund my $81.90.
  9. well, after reading the above responses, i took a cue from EthanGF and emailed one last time, saying that if i didn't receive a full refund of $82 or my jersey being immediately shipped and a tracking number for it, i would alert the attorney general. let's see what kind of response i get. if they feed me some bs about the court case or some of the aforementioned stories, i'll probably throw it back in their face and contact the attorney general.
  10. as i posted earlier in this thread, i ordered a Kovalchuk Ak Bars jersey in early-mid Novermber. i still haven't received it. i went to the russianhockeyjerseys.com website and contacted them and have received no response in about a week. anyone else having such problems?
  11. the most expensive jersey i own was a high school graduation gift from my aunt and uncle. they bought me a Mitchell and Ness Wayne Gretzky Los Angeles Kings jersey with the 1993 Stanley Cup patch. i believe it ran around 320 including shipping. i just wore it today. i love that jersey.
  12. yeah, those are fakes. i bought a knockoff Zetterberg away jersey last year. it's not bad, but has the same issue with the NHL patch as the above jerseys along with a few other minor details (it's a pretty solid knock to the untrained eye).
  13. awesome. thanks for the info, guys. i now have more confidence in buying one of the Russian jerseys and, from what i was reading on this thread previously, it looks like everyone is pretty pleased with their experience with russianhockeyjerseys.com
  14. wow, i've been looking for a Kovalchuk jersey for a while, but never wanted to get a Thrashers jersey because they just plain suck and their jerseys are ugly. i'm pretty interested in getting one of the jerseys on russianhockeyjerseys.com, but it says they're dye sublimated. i know what dye sublimation is, but i've never had one and i was wondering if anyone had any info about trouble with dye running, fading, etc. any help would be great.
  15. yeah, Mr. Snider was never big on the Russians, unfortunately.
