  1. It's been a while since I've been on here. From what I understand, the teams had to order the All Star jerseys before they were even designed. Many teams passed not knowing exactly what they would look like as sales of last years jerseys didn't go well. Kind of stinks and I bet Adidas goes back to an NHL logo in the future.
  2. Wife and children come first but I think he has somewhat of a responsibility to the game and history of hockey to attempt to salvage iconic and historic items such as the Gretzky jerseys. I think seeing people losing everything they had put things into perspective for him and he now sees the value of his personal family mementos on par with any jersey he could have ever hoped to acquire. He will be fine and I am sure the collection will eventually continue as his life gets back to normal. I'm sure he loved and cared for his family before the fires, this will just make it that much stronger.
  3. He will be playing in the upcoming World Championships so everyone will get to see a preview of Matthews against some NHL'ers pretty soon.
  4. I've got the old one....https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=299248226844522&set=pb.100002780408926.-2207520000.1459300910.&type=3&theater
  5. Amazing story! I'm sure somebody will be working on reproductions in the very near future. All the Blues really need are the photos and you might just see these as a 50th anniversary special jersey on the ice.
  6. Years back I ordered some jersey from Canada...The jersey arrived fine. The "customs duty fee" bill arrived a week later...It was like $75.00. I couldn't believe it. This was way back in the early '90s...before that NAFTA agreement. It was the one and only time I ever got hit with duty fees and I've since dealt with Ice Jerseys, RCS, and numerous other places and sellers.
  7. I am almost positive I photographed the Phantoms in this jersey. I also shot Giroux's first game with the team. My album from that period is in storage so I'd have to go through lots of photo discs to be sure. I don't remember Giroux wearing this jersey though. It might take a while but I'll let you know what I come up with.
  8. I wore a Denis Seidenberg Germany jersey to a Flyers/Ottawa playoff game...One of the "educated" Flyer fans just started to verbally tear me apart for being a Sens fan... I guess the team colors were close...There I was, a long time Flyers season ticket holder, listening to some slightly intoxicated moron telling me how the Flyers were going to trounce my club...
  9. I think you guys will be fine and be happy with the end result. When I take single jerseys to Ruberti's, I see just how many team orders are being worked on and just how much work goes into filling those orders. I don't exactly see a room full of employees all working on sewing machines and screen printers....There's a lot more than just the sewing that goes into outfitting a club. You have to remember just how many schools, youth leagues, colleges and other projects are being worked on, all at the same time. Names, numbers and sizes need to be sorted and such... home AND away jerseys... I know, It's easy for me to say as I didn't even order one but believe me, I can't wait to see how these turn out either. I've been following this since day one. Keep the faith guys!
  10. He does have a nice photo of Anna Kournikova for sale.
  11. I just went through hundreds of photos from a Flyers/Caps rookie game that I shot where the Caps are wearing their home whites... Sorry to say, I came up with nothing.
  12. With the "P", Princeton was my first thought as well.
  13. The only thing that I can see as a problem is the possibility it is a college jersey. I don't believe you can get a customized jersey of an active collegiate athlete with a name on it. I may be wrong but I seem to remember seeing this somewhere. Unless there is some new type of material the jersey is made with, I don't see the jersey being ruined. I'm sure you could always get a nameplate produced elsewhere and have it sewn on after the numbers are already sewn down.
  14. Does it come with the medal that he won....err never mind. Moving along...
