  1. Sucks that MLB jerseys keep getting worse and worse. Hell, I stopped collecting them once they switched to Majestic because I didn’t think *those* felt substantial enough compared to the thick ultrafil-like Rawlings/Wilson jerseys. Now…. No thanks

  2. Not a Flyers fan, but I really like what they did to their jerseys for this season (minus the sponsor patch obviously).

Always a sucker for the green Comets jerseys as well as the Fisherman

Found another small block pinhead, still in a 'too small to wear' size 44, but it was NWT and the crest is in much better shape than my other one. I plan on making another reverse tomahawk Savard

  3. Not a jersey, but an actual sweater. The Blackhawks launched the Archive Collection back in 2020 pre-covid which showcased older sweaters from 1929, 1935, and 1947. I was primarily seeking the 1947 sweater since I like barber poles, but got the 1929 in the deal.

I've had this Ebbets Flannel sweater for a few years which is my go-to pond hockey layer. It's much heavier and more substantial than the Hill Flint versions the Blackhawks sold. Also made from wool where the HF are made of cotton. Either way, cool to have both especially given the difference in crest design

  4. The Milwaukee Admirals celebrated their 50th anniversary in 2020 which was shortened by Covid. They announced these jerseys which is how they got their name; an appliance store, not the navy. I was so bummed that they never wore them so I wasn’t able to buy a gamer, but the team recently had a garage sale and I was able to snag one. Tinordi plays for the Blackhawks now so it fits into my collection.

The one thing I can’t stand about Milwaukee is their customization. They sublimate material and then stitch it on. This goes for the numbers and nameplates. It just feels really cheap. With numbers like 8, 0, etc., they don’t even cut/sew the inner holes. Thankfully they stitched on the individual numbers because with other gamers, if it was 28, they’d literally cut ‘28’ and sew it as one giant patch, rather than two individual numbers. Here’s a close up of the customization

  5. Very cool thing to do for your buddy!

Finally got my hands on this jersey. Recycled rookie Steve Larmer jersey from the '81 season before he wore 28. Also my first dureen jersey. Fabric is thick like ultrafil, but almost has a sheen to it like dazzle mesh and a textured pattern sort of like Nike Swift jerseys. Old school buckle fight strap too. Always loved the longer black cuffs on older Hawks jerseys. While it'll be impossible to find material to make a correct name plate for it, this is probably the new gem in my collection

  6. Cool looking jersey. I wonder if it’s like what the NBA does? Players names/numbers are a different (thinner) material than what’s sold at retail (even the on court authentic). Guess the bigger difference is MLB jerseys, like hockey jerseys, are often sold blank where NBA/NFL rarely are

  7. Two project jerseys I finally got back. Both size 52 and both were strip jobs due to horrible customization. Very pleased with how they turned out.

I have a red pinhead reverse tomahawk Savard from the 87-88 season, but it's a size 44 so it'll be nice to actually be able to wear this one. I'm down to only one other TBTC Hawks jersey which is a Chelios in size 48 that I've had since they were released. Happy with the slightly larger sizes which are easier to wear to games.

  8. When the Hawks started blowing out players the other year I did some serious house keeping and sold off a bunch of jerseys. But sometimes you get the itch to get a few back. Think this is probably the 4th or 5th time I've bought essentially the same jersey. Probably just bored with collecting more than anything else. We'll see how long they last. Size 54 customized by CSL.

  9. I was never a fan of the bright orange rebrand, so I definitely like these more. Agree with you about piping which is funny because piping looks terrible on every other team that uses it. I get the historical nod with the sleeve numbers, but they look out of place. Would look much better with two layers IMO
