  1. Our Cyber Monday Sale is on now with $25 OFF all adidas NHL jerseys as well as 20% OFF pretty much everything else available on site.
  2. Thanks for the support - this forum isn't my day job, but i'm doing my best! You may have noticed we went down again for a few minutes just now. This is likely due to the excessive load today with the upgrade, but we are still doing our best to get things fixed up. Once again, thanks for hanging in there!-CW
  3. We have implemented an upgrade which should solve many of the issues we have encountered lately. Things may be a bit funky as we get things up to speed, and we are trying to restore whatever we can from old data - but not sure we will get everything. Thanks for your patience!
  4. For the record, I believe this jersey was done very early on. At that time we had been misinformed about customization details. We have been customizing all Flyers jerseys correctly for a long time now, so you can be confident that a Giroux, or any other jersey for that matter will be done correctly, and as always, we stand behind our product with our 100% satisfaction money-back guarantee.
  5. Most people will enter all caps or all lowercase in the form, and it doesn't really matter. People also will use mixed case if they want us to be aware of a name that uses a lowercase letter in it (like McWHATEVER). It isn't really necessary to indicate the mixed case for the majority of known NHL players, as we are aware of most. It would only be helpful to us if it is a personal name or perhaps an obscure NHLer. In those instances it is a good idea to give us some guidance (you can also make a note in the special instructions at checkout).
  6. To answer your question, we will catch 99% of the mispellings that come in on NHL players. In that case, we usually make the correction (if it is an obvious mistake, like requesting no 8 and 'OVECKIN' on a caps jersey). If it something a bit less obvious, like no 94 and SMITH on a Kings jersey (which would likely be Ryan Smyth, but could also be for anyone with a last name of Smith), we would probably contact the customer to verify.

  8. You can send or bring your jersey to our Montreal headquarters, which also houses our local customization facility. Address and Map If you want to send in your jersey, you can download the form here: Customization Services
  9. I couldn't agree more. Which is why sometimes it is very hard to remain calm when a customer obsesses about minute details of their customization job. Most of what is worn on the ice is inconsistent and imperfect. Do you think equipment managers - or even players for that matter have the time, patience or motivation to analyze every detail of every jersey that hits the ice? Not a chance! Short of a misspelling they couldn't care less. Maybe something to keep in mind when evaluating the customization job on future jersey purchases.
  10. I really can't divulge any information - as we cherish our solid relationship with Reebok. I can give a bit of a teaser though: The proposed Penguins third is quite a radical design. I have a feeling it will generate strong opinions in either a "love it / hate it" position.
  11. I was referring to the rumored changes
  12. Some of this is fairly accurate, while some is way off.
  13. I'm not sure where that pic is from, but this is what the jerseys actually look that we sell. I pulled this one from our warehouse and took a quick pic with my BB: As you can see, there is no overlap, and it is basically the exact same crest as the current Devils crest - except the green borders are a bit wider, which reduces some of the white space. It is my understanding that this jersey isn't necessarily supposed to be a 'Vintage Replica', as much as it is a 'Tribute' jersey, incorporating the green style from the early days, but keeping the current logo and fonts - as Lou is a stickler for the current Devils brand.
  14. No - we did not touch on that subject. What exactly is the issue with the devils crest?
  15. We had a meeting at Reebok headquarters in Montreal in early February. We were presented the full 2010-11 jersey lineup by the product manager for licensed jerseys (yes, we know what all of next year's new designs will look like - but can't divulge). This product manager is THE guy that oversees all jersey development for the NHL and other leagues. A big part of our meeting was focussed on the black market and how the proliferation of fakes is seriously impacting jerseys sales for us (and however it is impacting our sales, you can be sure it is affecting Reebok much more significantly). Reebok is well aware of the situation, and I believe it is something they are trying to address seriously. The product manager told me to forward any evidence of sites selling illegal knock-offs, and since that meeting, I have forwarded a few emails with links to many sites. All of this info has been forwarded to their legal team to be pursued. The problem is, it is a very slow process and an ongoing uphill battle (as it always is where fraud is concerned). As a result, I'm not sure the problem will ever go away - but as long as Reebok does their best to make it difficult for these operations to conduct business (both online and offline), it is a step in the right direction. We also discussed the importance of educating the public on the merits of getting officially licensed merchandise (ad campaigns etc.), and possibly adding features to their merchandise that would be difficult and costly to replicate. I am hoping that a combination of these efforts over time will at least make it a lot more difficult for these con artists to profit. It is just too easy right now.
  16. I can certainly understand the reasoning behind why many consumers would be happy to buy fraudulent merchandise. After all, the prices are completely insane and times are tough. But keep in mind that by purchasing jerseys from sites like DHGATE and the many others like it out there, those consumers are deeply impacting the legitimate jersey retail sites like IceJerseys. I can understand that licensed jersey prices are very high - and in lots of ways consumers would like to stick it to the big guys like Reebok, the NHL and the NHLPA - not to mention the lure of the price of fakes is very strong. But offshore fraud sites like these have taken a HUGE chunk of business away from legitimate jersey retailers like IceJerseys over the past couple of years. Our jersey business has dropped considerably as a percentage of our overall sales (luckily we have made up for it in other categories) and as a result, we have no choice but to carry less jersey inventory. When we order less inventory, the manufacturers order less inventory and offer less product selection. It then becomes more difficult for consumers to get access to a full selection and range of legitimate licensed jerseys when they do actually need them. In addition, supporting fraud hurts the hardworking everyday employees that work for good companies like Icejerseys and even Reebok or the NHL. By not buying official merchandise, you are not hurting the multimillionaire players, owners and Reebok execs, you are actually hurting hardworking regular people like you and I. By supporting fraud, you are in effect taking away jobs from good people in the USA and Canada, to put money in the hands of some very shady characters. Sure, your one jersey may seem like no big deal, but when you add up all those single jerseys, the overall impact on the North American jersey business and overall economy is tens if not hundreds of millions of dollars lost. And when that happens, you know it is always the little guy who is going to lose out. Don't mean to be too preachy, but just some food for thought.
  17. Unfortunately Nike contacted us this week and informed us of a production delay at their factories in terms of sourcing the jersey material. As a result, the jerseys that we had on order for an original delivery date of late April, have now been delayed til mid June or so. Oh the joys of retail... especially when the manufacturers make it so..... interesting.
  18. The jersey pictured was part of the ccm expansion series that we offered about 4 or 5 years ago. They were produced on a dureen fabric - not mesh. We will probably be offering a vintage seals replica next fall, but not sure what year.
  19. We now have a limited qty of USA navy jerseys available for purchase, for delivery late April only - but all sizes available. Considering how demand has been, I wouldn't wait to order if you don't want to miss out. Team USA IIHF 2010 Swift Replica Navy Hockey Jersey
  20. I don't think we can really control that aspect of the layout.
  21. Both of the outstanding above issues have been fixed: 1) All old posts now show their quote boxes 2) Links created through the 'Insert Link' tool now open a new window Thanks for bringing these items to my attention. Hopefully by now people are becoming more accustomed to the new version of the board. Let me know if there is anything else. Thanks!
  22. We made a slight modification to the 8 in the IIHF font, and it is more accurate now. We have namebars available only for the following jersey colors: Red Navy Light Blue (Finland) Others just aren't available from Nike,so we have no choice but to go direct (unless you want a non-matched ugly namebar on your jersey). In addition, since ALL replicas have a higher seam at the shoulders than the authentics worn on ice, names have to be placed higher - nothing we can do about that. This might not be an issue where we have a namebar and a solid color jersey (such as with Russia, as we can put the namebar over the seam to place it a bit lower). In the case where we don't have namebars however, the names have to go above the seam - no choice. Another example of a problem, is Canada's white jersey, which uses a red namebar on the yoke, but it has to be placed above the seam so it won't overlap onto the white. As you can see, customization can be a complex issue. At IceJerseys we always evaluate how to BEST customize a jersey given the numerous limitations, inconsistencies and restrictions that we face with each different jersey. There is hardly ever a cut and dried perfectly correct way to customize a jersey (as much as many of the readers of this forum would like to believe). There are just way too many variables that come into play to make this the science that everyone thinks that it is. In fact, from game to game and jersey to jersey, you can even see inconsistencies worn on the ice by actual NHL players - so often, the holy grail that we are being compared to is in itself flawed. All we can say, is that we are ALWAYS putting our customer's best interests at heart when we customize a jersey (trying to get the best possible match, and delivered on time). However, the many variables at play affect how much that jersey will match the one worn on the ice by the actual player. Some of these factors include: - Consistency/quality of the actual team customization & materials (every team uses different customers from in-house staff to outsourced operations) - Jersey size (if a player is wearing a size 60 authentic, and you order a small replica, the spacing and geography of the jersey is dramatically different) - Replica vs. Authentic - as illustrated above, replicas are REPLICAS! So, the seams and placement of various jersey elements will be different - unavoidable - Namebar material: Although we have namebar material available for about 90% of the jerseys we do, there are some that we just can't get - IIHF has been a major problem. It isn't just IJ, the material simply is not out there. - League communication: If they don't know what the hell is going on in terms of customization style - how can we? Keep in mind that this board represents a tiny minority of our customers. The vast majority of our customers know that we offer the best quality and consistency and reliability in terms of jersey customization available. When they get their professionally sewn customized jersey delivered on schedule... they just want to wear it. Most customers are not inclined to scour the internet for photos while reaching for their protractor to see if the namebar is 1/8th of an inch lower than in a Getty image shot of the one worn by their favorite player in last night's game. That is not to say that we don't care about accuracy - we do tremendously, however if we painstakingly analyzed every jersey that went out the door for the slightest discrepancies with what may be interpreted as the customization 'standard' (when one really doesn't exist), we would never deliver any jerseys! Our goal is to do the best possible work and satisfy our customers by meeting and exceeding their expectations. In the rare instance when this does not happen (such as this case), we will do what we can to come up with a reasonable solution. I am hoping that this will give everyone a better understanding of what we are up against, while also allowing you to not stress so much about slight discrepancies in jersey customization. We are doing the best customization available - and we stand behind that and will put our customization up against ANY other provider. In the rare case where there is an obvious error, customer service will be happy to help resolve the situation. I don't know what more I can say on this matter.
  23. I understand your frustration, and would like to come up with a solution. Customer service will be following up with you shortly. Thank you!
  24. Most links seem to popup in a new window (for example the link to your jersey collection). It might depend on how the link was originally added. I do see that when I tried to add a new link through the 'insert link' option, it didn't open a new window. I will look into this issue. Thanks!
  25. I do see a link at the bottom left of the page that says 'Back to top'. Is that the one you mean?
