  1. Alright, so I have family in for the holidays from Ohio and one of them brought me a CBJ replica Vermette jersey, which is above and beyond any gift I expected from them and for which I am truly grateful. The only thing is, while I'm pretty certain the jersey itself is a regular replica (and almost positive the jersey was purchased at the stadium in Columbus) the numbers and lettering are like a vinyl iron-on material and not even iron on twill. It's a little too fake for my tastes, because I'm a nut about this stuff and I was wondering: a.) If anyone knows for certain if this is a normal replica because I never knew this kind of customization was even offered for premier replicas. b.) If I could remove it and have it redone with twill; I'd do Vermette and keep everything as is, just get more legit material. Anyone have any kind of experience with this kind of lettering? I'm really wowed that they even spent as much as they did to get me a jersey, but being a collector and a hockey nut, I am kind of bothered by the vinyl material. Would love to make it more official.
  2. Well he is a midget so that may be a 46 lol
  3. I don't have a roommate, just housemates, and we rarely hang out in my room, so the bed stays unmade. I'll make it if my pops comes up for a visit on the weekend or to keep my girlfriend happy once in a while. My room is generally neat though... relative to my housemates. When you have four college hockey players and a couple of our buddies living under one roof it's hard to distinguish between what needs to go in the recycling in the morning and what's a "decoration". I'm pretty sure a stranger would walk into our living room and assume we were either sponsored by a beer distributor or a bunch of raging alcoholics. We're neither, but I think we've kept one bottle from every case we've bought this year and... there's a lot.
  4. What's college for if not having a shamelessly messy house that, despite you and your housemates most sincere resolutions to "start keeping it neater" just continues to grow messier and messier until the end of the semester? Actually, our house isn't that bad but... yeah, beds not getting made unless people are coming over AND hanging out in my room.
  5. To wear it with a hoodie? I did it to show how it fits with layers on. Not that I've never worn a jersey with a hoodie under it in my life, but I just took pictures to show the size.
  6. I'm 5'10 185/190 and this is a 46 on me: with a hoodie under without
  7. Yeah, everything is good BUT the 85th anniversary patch and the retired numbers inside the hem are heatsealed and not stitched.
  8. I'm a size 46 Edge as well. I like my jersey a little less baggy, but my 46s aren't "tight" by any means. I'm 5'10 185-190, but pretty slim. I find the 46 fits perfectly and the two Edge authentic that I have (Ovechkin and Gaborik) the customization looks fine on; nothing awkward at all.
  9. At the garden it's $385 for an authentic with a name. I'll probably buy the patch and buy the authentic from a different retailer when it becomes available and have them customize it and add the patch and save some money as well.
  10. They're selling authentics at the Garden; Callahan, Dubinsky, Avery, Lundqvist and Drury, I think. They have blanks too. The ones at the Garden come with "Established 1926" sewn into the inner collar, and the retired numbers on the inside of the bottom, back hem. Apparently if you buy your jersey elsewhere they don't have those details and also don't have the 85th anniversary patch on the shoulder. I don't mind the lack of the collar stitching and retired numbers, but I think not including the anniversary patch on the anniversary jersey is a bit silly. Still, there should be authentics available eventually. I'm waiting to get a Callahan.
  11. I used the contact info available on their site to inquire about it, but the mail was returned undeliverable - it said that no mail was being delivered to that address because it had been inactive for too long. In the meanwhile, I inquired at major league lettering after seeing the feedback in the other thread and they've said they could strip AND letter the jersey for $70, which sounds unbeatable. Normally I'd be skeptical if I had just seen someone else's satisfied results in the other thread.
