The Guardian Project was the most cringe worthy moment I've seen in the NHL. I wonder what it looked like for the fans at the ASG.

Great thread guys! I'd love to hear from Whalers / Nords / Jets fans who've switched allegiances if there are any on here. And as a side note, I'm solely a Habs fan, but have held a very soft spot for the Ducks since Koivu left two years ago.

I haven't seen HSBC arena that full with Canadians since the last Tragically Hip arena tour!

I saw that the NHL was promoting the Winter Classic on The Price is Right too. I thought it was a little weird that the NHL would use CBS to help them promote an event on NBC. I love the idea of a behind the scenes HBO show though. Would love to see that with the Habs. Problem is, Jacques Martin is pretty much the anti-Boudreau.

Does it drive anyone else nuts to see people cheering for your team's biggest rivals? I've been noticing a ton of Habs fans on Twitter cheering for the Leafs this week, cause they don't want Pitt or Wash piling up the points... I don't care what points are at stake, I don't understand how Habs fans can get away with cheering for Toronto or Boston. In December. It baffles the mind, really. I hope people agree with me, cause this is one of my biggest pet peeves. Do any of you notice this with other teams? thoughts???

As a Habs fan I'm personally aiming higher than Wisniewski. He literally asked for divine intervention after a loss this week. LOL! I see the Canadiens waiting as long as possible, and probably only making a deal to replace Markov near the deadline. Gauthier must think this team has a lot of depth at D if they're riding a 3 game winning streak with P.K. up in the pressbox.

Did you see Tim Thomas make the most incredible save on Saturday vs. Toronto? In overtime, he robbed Macarthur from point blank range. Too bad they didn't get the win..

So now that the Habs have finally announced that Markov is done for the year, who do you think they'll go out and get? I've heard rumours about Ed Jovanovski. I like the idea of Special Ed in a Habs uniform. I want to see the Habs do something here. They're getting relief from the Cap hit, they've determined this week that Subban isn't the answer, and Markov is too good a player to just not replace... Any thoughts?

Hey Hockey Fans, Is it too early to talk playoffs? I say as long as you're not a Leafs fan it's never too early. I'd love to hear which team you think will win the Cup, and why. It'll be fun to look back on these in June. I'll start off with one fave and one dark horse. Fave: Pittsburgh. The Kid's on fire, and they're still angry about last year. Lethal combo. Dark Horse: Anaheim. When Hiller's on he can be scary good, and there's no doubting the skill of Perry and Getzlaf or the heart of Selanne and Koivu. who's next?
