  1. Caught some of the LSSU/Notre Dame last weekend...looks like the Lakers road blue jersey has been changed a bit this year. There is a lot of yellow in the jersey now. The bad part is, the jersey yellow doesn't match the crest yellow or number yellow. I like last year's jersey much better.

  2. We would essentially be asking him to just give us them for free though. He has no say in allowing us to buy them.

I had thought of this but I just don't see any way that it comes off as anything but us asking to take the jerseys away from a charitable cause.

So Union's going to take YOUR idea and now spin it off as theirs for "charity?" Bush league!

Union College should be freaking flattered as hell that 15 people want to wear their jersey.

  3. Yea, I'm aware of the NCAA rule about players too. I don't know how far it stretches in regards to former players. It wouldn't make sense to me that they could make money off the player once they're gone though.

Either way, it sounds like they are probably going to reach out to Gostisbehere and his agent to donate the jerseys to them to be signed for charity, etc.

Someone get on Facebook or Twitter and send Shayne a note and explain this situation to him...I bet he'd be flattered that 15 or so guys who have nothing to do with Union College want to wear that jersey around to some college hockey games.
  4. No go on the "removing the nameplates" idea. They said the letters are individually stitched through the nameplate and that removing them would ruin the jerseys.

Looks like its a dead issue now guys. Everyone should have the refunds. Sorry it didn't work out.

It would be nice to have one of these Union folks give North Dakota a call and find out how this should really be done...
  5. This whole experience was amazing.

I'd like to see Big A HG stick up for them now

I'm not sure how you can blame Gemini for Union College's sudden reversal of opinion on selling the jerseys. I know North Dakota's REA Store will not put current player names on jerseys, but the day after they leave school, you will promptly see now "former player" names all over the backs of jerseys in the store.
  6. I have a book that was published by Dynamo Moscow that has the history of the team and team photos that go to the end of the 97-98 season and that jersey isn't pictured anywhere in the book. I have owned a couple of them and I'm pretty sure they were worn for the 98-99 and 99-00 seasons, maybe the next season also. There was a big "Olympicskya Systema" add sewn onto the lower back of the gamers. There were also adds on the front of the jersey including Samsung.

You can click on the link in my signature to go to my fotki albums and scroll down to see my Dynamo gamers.

I'll look tomorrow, I think I still have a copy of the COA from Lutch and Dynamo that will tell the exact year mine was worn.

Thanks for the info...you have some great jerseys in your collection.

  7. bump

Dee's Sport Shop in Roseville Michigan will make CCHA patches in any color - they used to do work for the league.

Seriously? That'd be cool to see on a jersey. I have a couple of early 2000's Michigan jerseys as well as the late 1990's dazzle replica from Koronis.

  8. dsl, don't forget, I live about an hour away from Gemini's shop in Edina and would gladly pick these things up myself and mail them out individually to save the $25-$50 of having to ship it to you plus the cost of shipping to the final jersey destination. Let me know if I can be of any assistance.

Might be running into some problems guys.

  9. Everyone on my final confirmed list has now paid so I should place the order tomorrow.

dsl135, I just want to say "thanks" for all of your work in putting this together and organizing it. I blew my jersey budget for the year out of the water with this one, but I can't wait to see this one arrive at my mailbox. Thank you again...much appreciated.
