  1. Already put this in the Want List, but since I see others posting here as well and this thread is patch specific.

I'm looking for a NY Rangers 9/11 ribbon patch. Authentic only, I'm aware of the seller on eBay with the repros.

  2. Been awhile since I acquired a jersey I wanted. Been out of the hobby for a bit after selling off everything but my West Point gamers and one NYR Authentic I adore. But when i saw this I had to make it happen. All my WP gamers are Pre 2000 and this one actually fits my fat arse, so i can wear it to games at Tate Rink.

Great transaction with @Richter9377. Fast and easy, but was also accommodating with providing extra pictures and measurements when needed. Delivered to me as described and in record time.

Once I get over the fact that I made a deal with a guy with “Richter” in his screen name, I will view this as a very positive transaction. ;)

    Thanks again man!!

    Hahaha.

Back at ya, Michael. Who ever said NYR and NJD couldn't swing a deal?

Then it's easy OP....... just give chevy a call, or track his address  down

Funny enough. I delivered a mattress to his Westchester home back in the 90's when I was a kid working for 1800Mattress

Only person home at the time was a spanish maid.

I saw a clip of this last week and was trying to make out the specifics of the jersey.

I'd say a movie accurate would need to be white, Ultrafil, pin head with double elbows.
I don't recall seeing anything to suggest a fight strap or what the CCM on the hem looked like. (heat pressed, patch, small block embroidery)

All said, to make an accurate one you'd spend a lot - and instead of potentially having a high dollar player jersey coveted by fellow collectors - you'd have a boner jersey that wouldn't hold any value among collectors.
I can't imagine there are a lot of Christmas vacation collectors that would be so concerned with that level of detail and be willing to pay up for it.

There were a rash of big block CCM's done in the early 90's when retail authentics boomed
I have 2 in size 48 Ultrafil that I haven't gotten around to stripping as I have other projects, if that is close enough for you shoot me a PM.

48 is no bueno. I'm like a 56 minimum. Which leads me to the second bolded which is this jersey would be all for me. Just to wear at Christmas time. Our family, including extended, is in love with the movie, we quote it constantly. So I'm not worried about collector value, other sweaters in my collection definitely.

That said, I for sure wouldn't ruin a htf jersey as with what was mentioned. As a collector, I'd be pissed if I saw a Rangers TBTC or White Liberty Authentics that were jacked up with stupid customizations.

Someone needs to move this over to the “Jersey collecting is a disease” thread. When you need a 100% accurate version of what Chevy Chase playing Clark Griswold wore in a movie...

I get what you're saying but this jersey is more iconic than say; Happy Gilmore's Bruins jersey, or Wayne and Garths Blackhawks jerseys.

So many sh*t versions out there. Now that I know what is likely going into it, it may not be a priority to nail it, especially if I had to outbid a hawks collector into the hundreds just to get a rare shirt to begin with. But I'm not going with anything post 2000 either.

  8. Searched and didn't find any threads about this.

I've tried my damnedest to figure out if the jersey Clark Griswold is wearing in Christmas Vacation is a Big or Small block CCM. I've seen movie stills where the elbow patch stitching is showing so it's definitely a Pro Authentic as I've been a collector that long myself and know the replica's back then didn't have the extra elbow material.

So...has anyone figured out if it's a small or big block CCM? Ultrafil or Airknit?

Would like to make one up, but do it propper. So many cheap copies out there, if I'm going to do it, might as well do it right.

Has anyone noticed that new listings automatically have an embedded "best offer" option? I know it's not hitting everyone but my last two items have items have had this as a requirement.

I think it is now a standard on mobil listings, but if you use a computer and go into "advanced" selling options that can be changed for future listings to the standard "ask first" check box.

  10. Somone had a Malkin. Pro too. About a month ago on ebay. I was watching it. Ended early.

Cant find the link. I swear it was though, and a size 58 or larger. $100 starting bid. One of those I really wanted it, but I kind of didnt jerseys. Sure was a facinating thing to see as Mike pointed out, the only one I've every seen.

I don't think it had the Skoda patches though, but I'm not 100% sure it didn't either.

This tends to happen because it puts you back at the same spot, but then the images reload and push the page to a different spot. Not really much you can do about it, I have the same problem.

that is definitely a better description of what I was trying to convey. Super annoying.

  12. Anyone else have this problem when searching eBay?

Every time I go through the list of items I just searched, I go into a listing to see the details, then hit the back button to go back to my last page of searched items and the page is 15-20 items bellow the last item I looked at.

It's annoying to have to scroll back up the list to find where I left off so as to not miss anything. Even more so because I have my parameters set to return 200 items per page.

Just wondering if there is a fix for this.
