  1. I could be wrong, I don't pay a ton of attention to basketball, but I believe I read or heard that the NBA made a conscious effort to make sure their ad patches fit the jersey in regards to colour. I agree MLB is a bit out of control. It's one thing to have an ad look like a brick of coke (Atlanta), but there could be some size control. Some of them are massive to the point of being unprofessional.
  2. Thank you! The only thing that rubs me the wrong way is the TD patch. I'm not as offended by ad patches as most hockey fans seem to be, but I wish companies would be willing to have their colours changed to match uniforms. The TD patch on Vancouver's home and RR 2.0 jersey looks just fine, but it sticks out like a sore thumb on the black jersey. It is what it is though and doesn't diminish how awesome this jersey is.
  3. I wasn't sold on these jerseys when they first came out, but now that I have one, I'm on the wagon. These are incredible in-person! Team issued Aatu Räty.
  4. Did a strip an re-customization of an issued jersey. Thrilled with this!
  5. I tried posting in their ISO thread but got crickets. I had a contact who could get it, but that's no longer the case. I'm sure EPS does, but I was hoping to avoid sending the jersey there. I'll try the Canucks customizer one more time once the regular season ends, but they're hit and miss with being willing to take an order.
  6. Not sure how alive this thread is anymore, but we know that 100% of shots you don't take line lol... Need navy Adidas MIC nameplate material, long enough for Pettersson.
  7. From what I've read, it seems like this is exactly what will happen for the first couple years, then for 26-27, who knows. For on-ice jerseys, I don't think we have anything to worry about regarding quality. The players will make sure of it, like they did for the Reebok Edge 1.0. That said, I have also read some whispers that Fanatics might want to go the way of the IIHF, with not much of anything actually being sewn to a game jersey anymore. Time will tell. For me, not only is Fanatics a garbage retailer with their customer service being one of mainly contempt for the people who spend money with them, I spent a dozen years in sports retail and I saw first hand how they built their monopoly. While it was Lids who bought my company at the time, and made my fun job miserable, Fanatics was already in line to buy Lids and they made people I know who remained quite miserable as well. I just don't think I could wear a jersey with the Fanatics logo on it.
  8. I agree. If they were to ever use this as a basis for an alternate, I would hope that number gets moved to the sleeve! But as you said, it's a retro thing so I'll accept it.
  9. A sweet Sunday mail day. With some other necessary purchases, I was priced out of the game worn auction that took place and in the one(s) to come yet. I was lucky enough to be able to purchase this team issued Christian Wolanin Canucks RR jersey. I was in the minority actually liking these when they were revealed, but they still grew on me even more. The pics don't show the off-white as well as I would like and just doesn't do it justice. This jersey also completes a nice Johnny Canuck display! Sadly, today is not a happy day in Vancouver and BC. I can't post nice Canucks content without ending with my tribute to Gino Odjick!
  10. AHL Mail Day! TI 21-22 Abbotsford Canucks Inaugural Season. Blanks were being sold in the Canucks store and I could not resist. Love the logo and designs!
  11. As mentioned by the others, loose kits is literally just that. EPS will no longer send you a loose kit for you to apply to a jersey yourself. You need to send them your jersey(s), and if they need to be stripped, they don't do it anymore. You have to either do it yourself (not that hard) or find someone else to do it for you before sending your jerseys to EPS.
  12. I've also heard that Keener is finished for good in taking orders from collectors like us. It's unfortunate because EPS takes so much longer, but the bigger issue for me is that I never avoid duty and taxes coming back into Canada. It's honestly got me reconsidering my collection focus and I might go for more game worns in the future. Speaking of game worns, I picked these up on vacation in Iceland. Not normally a fan of Tackla's sublimated everything, but when in Rome... or I should say Reykjavík...and got the last non-Tackla jerseys they IHI had as well!
  13. EPS Mail Day. I got lucky as there was a hole in the bag they sent my jerseys back in... and I had absolutely requested that they use the same box I sent them in, as well as the big ziploc bags I used for added protection. Disappointed at that. Anyway, had sent some for better work than what was previously on some of these, as well as a couple new ones. I know the neck tags and the 95 ASG patch don't mix, but neck tags are not one of my "need to be perfect" things. Closeup of the nameplate EPS did to match the colour. Passes the test for sure... Was not going to leave this one blank, and I had the IIHF 90th patch kicking around, so I just picked the only player on that year's team who had some NHL games under his belt. The Warsteiner patches are reproductions...
  14. The only issue I have with the ad patches as a collector, is that they are probably going to be a pain in the arse to get, but yes I will pursue them. The AHL has had ads for years now and if you try hard enough, success can be there. Who knows how it will be with NHL teams. I don't have an issue with the ads like so many fans seem to. If any fans going on about how they will never buy another NHL or MLB jersey because of the ads has a club soccer jersey somewhere in their closet, they're a hypocrite.
  15. Gonna have to stop for a while after this one. Beyond thrilled to finally have one!
  16. Some Fisherman goodness. Credit to Keener...
  17. I do agree the league missed an opportunity to have players wear two jerseys per game to make some more cash. Had they done that, I would have also hoped they would have made double the allotment of jerseys, cause there was no way I was affording a Demko GW lol. I just tried to look on the auctions page, but I only see closed auctions from March 5, so not far back enough. I can say for sure, there was no Demko GW up for auction (only player I was looking for), so 2+2 = players who lost the SF games kept their GW jersey and the GI got auctioned.
  18. I haven't heard anything certain in that regard, but one other collector I chatted with about this jersey figures Demko kept the jersey he wore and the blue jersey he didn't wear was auctioned by the NHL/Fanatics. My best guess is that there were two jerseys of the main colour and one of the opposite made for each player. IE: Pacific players would have two blue jerseys (one for the SF and one for the final) and one white jersey, in case they won the first game and had to switch for the final.
  19. After some frequent communication, for lack of a better term, I finally got my package in the mail and can post the GI ASG Demko jersey I won!... Fanatics actually put a Game Used tag inside the jersey, though obviously as the Pacific division lost their first game, this one did not see game use. This one is awesome to have. I attended Demko's first NHL game and now I have one of the two blue jerseys issued for his first ASG!
  20. I was hoping to have a reason to add to the "keep it alive" movement today, but NHL Auctions / Fanatics conveniently forgot to put a commercial invoice on the FedEx package. So yeah. F***.
  21. Found my next Bure. On its way to EPS as they said they can sublimate ultrafil for the colour. Here's hoping they can indeed get it done!
  22. Where's Mike Keenan when you need him?
  23. Holy s*** you're not kidding. Replied in about an hour tonight even after business hours.
  24. Checking in to see what others' communication with EPS has been like lately. I sent an email and an inquiry via the website last week and crickets so far. I know they're busy, but no reply isn't what I'm used to from them.
  25. Asking for the impossible: Purple ultrafil to match a 1994 Western Conference All Star Jersey, long enough for BURE.
