  1. FYI for those who wanted to know. I got my invoice from NSJ today.
  2. Anyone have a line on red 1998 Team Canada material? I did ask EPS if they have it. I was told they have "red dazzle", but they're not sure if it matches this jersey. Any info would be appreciated.
  3. Putting out a feeler to see if there is a white Sabres ultrafil (early 90s) out there in 52 or 54, Mogilny or blank (not opposed to stripping another player either).
  4. Fair enough, but I haven't had that with prior experience with NSJ. My communication issues with Josh have only been recently.
  5. Getting a tracking number is never really in question with the various customizers we use. I just expressed an expectation to receive it by a certain date, hoping to hold him to his word of "end of next week". Time will tell.
  6. I heard from Josh this morning after yet another email last night. He did apologize and told me my jerseys would be shipped by the end of next week. My response included a date of expectation by which I will have received an invoice, paid for the work and received a tracking number. We'll see how that goes.
  7. To add to the above, I concur that Josh is in over his head at NSJ. Putting 2+2 together, he got a ton of our business around the time Keener raised his prices. That's another reason why I'm trying hard to not get mad, but that gets more difficult the more time that passes without response.
  8. The last email I got from Josh at NSJ in December, he told me he hired someone to help. Obviously nothing has changed. I do know this is basically a business in the basement for him, so I'm trying really hard to be graceful and lenient with my rising displeasure. I am a patient guy... when I'm given honest and accurate information, and my attempts to communicate when you have 5 of my jerseys (a lot of you send a lot more than 5 at a time), get answered in a timely manner. With having to send multiple messages in more than one way (usually a few emails and Facebook messages) to get attention and being the second time I've been told I would have an 8-week turnaround that's turned into 6+ months, my patience is razor thin. I'm at the point where if work hasn't actually started on my jerseys, I just want to send him the cost to ship the box back to me.... I just need to hear from him.
  9. I actually did get the British Columbia version of a stimulus cheque... but mine wasn't very much because my 2019 earnings were too high for the maximum amount. If I wasn't lucky enough to be working at home this whole pandemic, with some overtime which actually made 2020 a lucrative year for me (by previous lower earnings standards anyway lol), I would be asking the provincial government why the amount is based on earnings before the pandemic started. But alas, I've decided to avoid. More out there to be sought.

After the various pieces of advice from a few sources, I'm not bidding. Not worth the trouble for more of an impulse than anything... and I would kinda rather a white one anyway.
  11. The autograph is right in the middle of the front logo.. It's stopping me from bidding on the jersey unless I get solid guidance in the next two days that it can be removed successfully. Not hopeful so far.
  12. Can sharpie be successfully removed from the twill of a front logo on an early 90's ultrafil jersey?
  13. Anyone received any communication from North Star Jerseys recently (yes, again)? I did get a reply about a month ago and got told my jerseys would be ready in time for Christmas, yet here we are. I sent another email last week, but crickets so far.
  14. Especially for a fake! I get that fake jerseys are reality today, but ffs, if they just sell them for $50 cause they know what they are, I'll generally leave them alone lol.
  15. I'm re-discovering my love for the early 90's ultrafils lately. Dangerous for the wallet. As for Adidas vs. Reebok, I don't mind the Adidas on-ice jerseys at all, but if there's one area that the Edge 2.0 absolutely destroys Adidas, it's the shoulder patches (at least for Vancouver) ...
  16. A lot in this community are of the opinion that Reebok Edge 2.0 are better jerseys anyway, but don't let that make you give up on tracking down Adidas on-ice jerseys. I have a couple Canucks from the first season when they used them for rookie camp. Canucks store sold them at a decent price and I stripped and re-customized them. They are get-able, just with patience. Lots of patience. This topic also vindicates what some of us have been saying since Adidas took over. They are blatantly false advertising the jerseys sold in stores as what the players wear during games. Drives me legit crazy.
  17. No. Adidas does not allow NHL teams to sell actual on-ice jerseys at retail. The only way to get them is to buy a game-worn or get lucky if an NHL team decides to flip the bird to Adidas and sell some in their team store. Easiest way to tell is where the jersey is made. Made in Indonesia = What Adidas peddles as "authentic". Made in Canada = on-ice jersey. Other differences are a reinforced fight strap, and just better/stronger material that the jersey is made of. All-around it's a night-and-day difference in quality. As for the Adidas buttons, I cannot help you with that. I refuse to own a Made in Indonesia Adidas jersey and the on-ice jerseys never had them.
  18. I'm in that parade too. I actually really like the Canucks reverse retro...but I will not buy anything but on-ice quality...and with how much the Canucks start their game worn auctions at these days... nope. Not happening.
  19. Ok, I'll join the party.. https://www.flickr.com/photos/189618020@N08/albums/72157715327596782/page1/
  20. You're not wrong there. Even with enough work for a turnaround time no shorter than 8 weeks, he still replies to emails within a day, maybe two tops... which is more than I can say for most of the hockey customizers we have now. I'll be using Bill for the blank baseball jerseys I have on my rack.

    Senators Early 90s

Good to know. The photo evidence above shows him wearing 28 in black and 9 in white. Do you know if we wore 37 in black?

    Senators Early 90s

I have a Stanley Cup 100th patch I'm trying to find a way to put to use, and a Pavol Demitra Senators thought came into my head. Upon verification that he was drafted by Ottawa in 1993, I figured that idea was out... then I found these... I'm not sure of the rules back then, but having been drafted in 1993, it doesn't make sense to me that Demitra would have been allowed to play exhibition games prior to the 92-93 season (nor would it make much sense that the patches would have been on jerseys for exhibition games). Is it possible that the Senators used 92-93 jerseys for 93-94 exhibition games and just left the patches on? Bottom line, the jersey I want to find a way to eventually make happen exists, so it's not a foul, but I am definitely curious about why Demitra is wearing jerseys from a season prior to being drafted, if I didn't guess the reason already.
  23. Had the original Jackie Robinson 50th patch kicking around. Had taken it off an old replica jersey (we all started young and a bit dumb in this hobby) and finally found an appropriate jersey for it, thanks to krukcards getting a bunch of team-issued 1997 jerseys from the Cardinals! I'm not particularly attached to any player from that team and was absolutely NOT going to get McGwire, so I chose a pitcher I didn't mind when I was forced to watch the Jays as a kid... and I looooove the chain stitching! As for the customization, while expensive, The Dream Shop lived up to reputation!
  24. I finally got an email response late last week. He's working. It appears like he's been absolutely slammed with business over the last few months. Alberta is also Canada's covid-central these days, so I imagine that might affect some timelines as well.
  25. Likely unpopular opinion, but I would've been ok with an orange fisherman jersey. Just flip the blue and orange on the wave jersey.
