  1. Thanks to Pens4ever for getting his Nordiques jersey to me. Best packaged jersey I've ever received (folded with tissue paper in between, air pillows either end), the jersey's quite nice too...
  2. I quite agree, I was going to make some mention about the phrase being corny, but wasn't sure how acceptable (or not) it was on here. Whenever I think of the word 'grail', I just think about Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. And that was a rubbish film...
  3. I think I had my best and worst 'it arrived today' day today. First, the worst. There's a German-based eBay seller that has a lucky dip of sorts on jerseys - for 16 Euros, plus shipping, you get sent a jersey that's already packaged for sending - they don't even know what they're sending you... I thought, as a one-off, I'd give it a go. This turned up. I thought at first, due to the patch for a new sponsor on the front, it might be a gamer, but even my knowledge of German suggests it's a fan jersey. All that's awful about Euro hockey jerseys - light weight material, fuzzy sublimation, lot's of sponsors... At least it came with a nice big German league patch. And now the best, also making its way to me from Germany, courtesy of Pens4ever on here, is this Ultrafil Nordiques jersey. If there's a grail jersey for me, this is pretty much it - I've wanted one of these since the early 90s. Maybe in an ideal world, I wouldn't have chosen Tony Twist, but I can live with that. Now if I can just get hold of a Milwaukee Admirals jersey before the season's end, that'll be me done until the autumn...
  4. I need to stop buying random jerseys, just because they look OK - and then something pops up that I convince myself I 'need'. Reebok wordmark patched over with CCM. GI rather than a gamer.

    It is good or not?

Worse, it's being sold by someone who, looking at their other listings, should probably know better and ruins their own credibility as a seller, all for the sake of making $50...
  6. Perhaps not in the right thread, but here goes... It looks like a game worn jersey, and it looks like a USA 1996 WCOH jersey, but it's not a game worn 1996 WCOH jersey. If you see what I mean? No patch on the shoulder, and nobody called Brickley in the team. The closest I could find was an Andy Brickley, who played in the WC for the USA in 1992. Perhaps he was still at a level where he played in an exhibition game or two or warm-up game in the mid-90s (he was in and out of NHL rosters up to '94 and carried on as a pro for a couple of years after that). There's plenty on here who know more than me, though...
  7. Ah, so that explains the 'funky' smell. No worries, I only bought it for my cat to sleep on...

    EPS Spring Sale 2017

I've got a Panthers Game Issued jersey that doesn't have a nameplate, it's not from the 05/06 season though. At work so can't post direct evidence, but it looks to me like there's no nameplate on this, for example...
  9. Many thanks to TMLFAN for hooking me up with a Canadiens jersey. Really quick with the shipping, much appreciated.
  10. Not much to see here at the minute... These jerseys, I'm really not expecting any interest from here (hence the little pictures) - I'm going to put them on the notice board where my kids play hockey, if anyone there wants them for training jerseys, but before I do, I'll mention them here, just in case they're wanted. 3 x CCM late 90s / early 2000s replica jerseys - Canadiens (Sold)/ Bruins (Sold) are blanks. All three are size L. And, a really worn out Oilers jersey (the heat-pressed crest flaked off it), but if you are after some Ultrafil for nameplates, it may be of use (or if you want me to cut you a bit for a nameplate, to keep shipping costs down). I've no idea what to say price-wise, so I'll go for $25 on the replicas, $FREE for the Ultrafil jersey, plus shipping. I'm based in Europe, which may well have an effect on shipping costs for most people on here, but I'm happy to work on getting cheapest / easiest postage solutions...
  11. I'm struggling to find a decent picture for patch placement of the NHL 100th patch for this season for a Canadiens jersey. Is this 'good enough' as a guide? I can't help feeling it looks a bit too close to the numbers... (Most player pictures - Getty images and the like - have creased arms, etc. so it's even harder to get it right, but they appear to be a little higher than this).
  12. Yeah, through doing some research of mine, that's correct, no center ice / mise en jeu hang tag for the team issued ones. Otherwise, there's no difference, in terms of fight strap twill, etc. I love the ridiculous look of these. Are you going to get it customized? If so who? And where?
  13. Big thanks to jolmari for getting the jerseys I bought off him to me so quickly. Also, many thanks for including a complete Sedin number kit as a free extra...
  14. Good spot! - not much of the jerseys on display and really grainy phone pics. It's a pre-season jersey (Scott Mifsud, I don't recall what season) - It had been on eBay for a long time, if I saw it, I'm pretty sure everyone on here did too at some point (pics a couple of pages back in this thread)
  15. Horcoff's best years may have been behind him by the time he was in this, but it's still a decent jersey...
  16. Hi, I bought a Devils Edge 1.0 training camp jersey from Meigray recently. It looks like Edge material to me, but here's a close-up shot and you can use it to decide for yourself...

    eBay version 4.0

Can anyone shed any light on jerseys for sale on eBay by sportsnut5? There seem to be some decent offerings from this seller, but a lot keep coming up customized as Sullivan, number 47. I thought at first it might be for Steve Sullivan, but he didn't wear 47. Also, there's way too many jerseys customized with this to all be of some 'super fan' of his (and way too many teams) The jersey's aren't necessarily cheap enough to consider stripping - but I might be interested if they were for a legit player (but I don't think they are). Any ideas? Here's an example of what I mean: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/COLORADO-AVALANCHE-SULLIVAN-ALTERNATE-HOME-NHL-JERSEY-/162367676309?hash=item25cdde1f95:g:wE0AAOSwjDZYhM~V or this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LOS-ANGELES-KINGS-SULLIVAN-ASSISTANT-CAPTAIN-NHL-JERSEY-/401224245779?hash=item5d6ad42213:g:MNUAAOSwcUBYJj1M or this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MONTREAL-CANADIANS-SULLIVAN-RED-NHL-JERSEY-/401224235595?hash=item5d6ad3fa4b:g:AhYAAOSw5cNYJjYW this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PHOENIX-COYOTES-SULLIVAN-AUTHENTIC-NHL-JERSEY-/162025384145?hash=item25b97728d1:g:x~oAAOSwQgpW~oNR you get the idea...
  18. I really like that Briere. The neck of the 6100 looks good (no NHL logo keeps it simple). Colors really seem to work as well - time to add a white buffaslug to my own want list...
  19. OK - so, after 18 pages of this thread (all very entertaining) I thought I'd have a look at the source. Didn't scroll down too far - that way lies madness. But I did notice a few things, in the first few posts: - Stuff that sold in Meigray $99 eBay auctions recently for $99 (or little more) being offered on the Facebook page for considerably more (I remember the prices because I lost out on two of them). - No rhyme or reason to half the pricing of jerseys. - 100 sticks for $1000 dollars. What's that about, it's a jersey group? Also, there's only a picture of like 10 of the sticks. Who would want 100 sticks? That you can't even view? If you were looking to sell them on, well, you don't yet know what you're buying to be able to sell. Maybe if someone really wants to get into stick collecting yet can't actually be bothered to find the sticks they want to collect. And shipping on 100 wood sticks? Not cheap I guess... I don't think I'll go back there (and apologies if anything mentioned above is being sold by someone on here), but I like that this thread gets updated with their most 'choice' offerings, to save having to look at the rest of the Facebook group (there's always a danger I'd see something I want).
  20. Very interesting - and really intricate works. I had a look at Cipra's website, most of his designs are really impressive, but there's one or two in the gallery there that show that goalies are often somewhat eccentric...

    It is good or not?

Any thoughts on this..? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/132086981172?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT Fight strap has been removed but you can see a white "twill' patch beneath the numbers in the final picture - if this were legit, that twill should be colour-matched to the jersey, so wouldn't be so easy to see, right? The size of the stitching on the fight strap also looks too wide relative to the twill patch... Crest, numbers and name look OK to me from the photos. It's also very cheap, which is what tempted me in the first place - I think it's a fake, although a better one, and so I should leave it, but there's better opinions than mine on here...
  22. They look great. Just out of curiosity, what helmets are they underneath? The joseph one with the round side / chin vents looked like a Bauer NME3 to me, but I'm not so sure - as for the other two with the triangular vents..?
  23. Ouch, that's dodgy. They may think they've covered themselves by saying this: "Take notice that the jersey is a pro-style replica jersey, not an actual team-issued jersey" but they also say "Reebok pro-style jersey". It's not, is it? It's a Reebok-style fake jersey. Still, it's from years ago, perhaps they've got better. However, phrases like "would likely have been used when he returned to the Pens" in another listing don't inspire much confidence when discussing game used equipment. Caveat emptor, and all that...
  24. Just two, Lemieux and Yzerman - both replicas bought in the 90s - I should dig them out from storage (I'll bet they're better quality than the current Reebok 'Premier' replicas).
  25. Thanks for this info, I never knew that (I'm new to all this). There's a whole world of info there to waste away time when I should be working. I can see that jersey only got used 9 times - that doesn't surprise me as there's little evidence of wear.
