Perhaps one of the greatest weekends of my life! Watched my son graduate from high school on Saturday night, very proud. Then watched my team end its' 45 year drought last night to complete this magical Cup run. The Los Angeles Kings are Stanley Cup Champions! Still hasn't sunk in. My souvenir from the Cup run... Trevor assisted on the game winning goal of game 3 in this shirt.

Because Nolan's jersey is a rookie jersey, which are considered more valuable by collectors. Although I agree the SCF jerseys are ridiculously priced, it is a chance to own history if your team wins. If your teams loses, I can't see the value holding. The chance you take.

Amazing! I remember as a kid watching hockey on the weekends on NBC in the 70's...Peter Puck between periods. They showed a lot of games from the Omni.

I am with most here in that I would never put my name on the back of a jersey I didn't play in. However, finding a gamer with my name on it was a big priority for me. The spelling isn't exactly correct, but it is as close as I will come to having my name on an NHL jersey.

I doubt very seriously that they could or would sell you a Jersey. Why jeopardize their contract with the teams they service. The Jerseys also belong to the team. There are plenty of other outlets to get team issued/game worn Jerseys, trying to buy one from the lettering company is not one of them.

The Kings have worn both ultrafil and airknit at various times. In 87/88, last year of the Forum Blue and Gold, both materials were used. In the early 90's the regular season sets were ultrafil and the playoff sets airknit. 95/96 set 2 was airknit. This is what I know for sure.

Not sure what all the fuss is on that Kings jersey. It is a strip job, which involves some risk on a jersey that old. You will need the proper ultrafil material for a nameplate. And... Is it me or is that crest crooked? "obtained from the team" yea, then butchered by your local customizer.

A regular season or playoff game worn can be several different things. 1) An actual jersey worn on the ice for a game. We can refer to these as Game Used. 2) A jersey worn by a back up goalie or player that does not leave the bench. 3) A jersey that is only worn in the pre-game skate.

My biggest fear in jersey collecting...the apartment fire. I am not worried about my place but you can't control what your neighbors might do. Good to hear there is a solution and that your collection is saved!

Kopitar's set 1 away jersey this season had over 20 repairs on it.

Tough call. As has been said before, if you are a fan of the player the first goal shirt is a no brainer. There are 20+ other jerseys out there with the patch, only one goal jersey. If you are a fan of the team and not so much the player, then the patched jersey may be the way to go. I have a Robitaille Retirement Night patched jersey that I have solely for the patch, player wasn't a big deal. As it turns out the player, Frolov, has turned into no big deal.

WOW! Practically half a season in one jersey. Too bad the wear doesn't reflect the amount of games played, still very nice though.
