  1. Hate to break bad news to you but that Orr jersey is a fake. Replica CCM tag on the inside yet there is an NHL on the back hem. Bet there is a cheap, elastic "fight strap" on the jersey.
  2. Yes. Another thing that bothers me is the too good to be true scenario. A Gretzky BK, even a game issued and not worn, would run in the thousands of dollars. Why take a chance at selling it for only a fraction of that? Lastly and most important...the customization is off....no way that was done by the team.
  3. Where is the set tag?
  4. That is outstanding! Completely original. Slap a tie around that collar and you have the latest in island formal wear.
  5. I thought of you the day I heard he was traded...my condolences.
  6. Good bet picking that one up! Sorry, couldn't resist. Former King as well.
  7. The funny part is a Michigan alumni going to Buckeye territory. Being a Kings fan I can tell you the move was definitely made out of desperation, an attempt for Deano to keep his job and a knee jerk reaction to the entire team minus Quick having a horrible season. Bottom line is if Carter and Richards can come back to form, not necessarily together, it will be a good move. The Kings have a couple of defensemen in the pipeline, namely Slava Voynov, whom people thought could've replaced Doughty had he not signed. The first round pick will most likely amount to little.
  8. For as much as I complain about EPS and the inaccuracies on the Kings from 1998 - current, they did a good job with my 2002 all star jersey.
  9. That is not true. I have a replica Rangers jersey that my dad purchased for me at Cosby's in New York in 1980 1981. I have also seen Kings replicas from the original P&G era and that ended 1979/1980. I have worn hockey jerseys for as long as I can remember and I doubt my dad was buying me gamers. The listing also states that the jersey is store bought.
  10. It's Memorex. Or possibly just a figment of your imagination. But in all seriousness, are you questioning if the jersey is a fake? An old, dirty, NNOB Blues jersey?
  11. There are so many things wrong with that kit. Unfortunately that is pretty much the same as what you get with EPS, Jersey Express, Staples Center, etc... The letters are the incorrect size and are spaced too close together. They should not be on a nameplate. The "A" should be angled and have rounded edges, same with the "C". The purple layer on the back numbers is too thick and the back numbers themselves are too thin. The sleeve numbers are just right! HAHA These are just the obvious errors.
  12. A patched gamer from an American born NHL'er. Set 1 lots of wear including 5 repairs.

    Ebay 2.0

I am pretty sure the bidder knows exactly what he/she is bidding on. I have seen that user name in other Kings auctions. Probably just has deep pockets. The crazy thing is the bidding war the two are having with so much time left in the auction. They are just driving up the price on each other. I see no point in bidding so early.
  14. It should if it is an 07/08. If it is an 09/10 it doesn't need a plate. Frolo still played for the Kings that season.
  15. I hope I am not confusing you with another member, but you have had great success photo matching your jerseys. Excellent work!

A little early in the auction for Deals and Steals, but Flyers fans should be watching this. A two patch gamer from a Hall of Famer with an opening bid of $500.00!!! Mark Howe Gamer edit: I want to point out that I know nothing about Flyers gamers as far as team tagging, trainers marks, etc... Do your homework as to the authenticity of the jersey.
  17. That's friggin awesome! Yes, I was singing along as I read that.
  18. From that list I am going to say only Ferraro. The rest of the players from that list are over 6 feet and 200 pounds, I doubt any are smaller than a 56-R. Garry Galley has worn a 52 in his carrer, although I can't say for sure in 97/98. That would be a good choice.
  19. I don't know if they made them in the early 90's, but they did do an air knit version for their Vintage Hockey line. The Kings wore the white ones for Gretzky Retirement Night in 2002. Black air knit on ebay
  20. Some great info here. Just my 2 cents, but I wish the league would switch back to whites at home. I want to see the visiting teams colors.
  21. All Star Edit. Quick just got scored on three times. Was upset his MVP bid went out the door!
  22. My Lappy from 96 is a 54 made by CCM.
  23. I have a 96 Kings Lappy which is a 54...that is what I am basing my info on. You have to remember that when Lappy played for the Avs the uniforms players were wearing were much bigger than the mid 90's. Another case in point. My Norstom gamer from 1999 is a 52...he wears a 58 by the mid 2000's.
