  1. Lappy wore a 54 I believe. Try to find someone who wore a 52.
  2. My first pick up of the new year. I have been wanting a Starter era gamer and a Robitaille gamer, was able to kill two birds with one stone. (no offense to any Audubon Society members) Great wear with tons of inner pilling, a couple of large pulls, a repair and loads of general game filth. A couple of blood stains on the shoulder and near the A as a bonus! My first Hall of Fame gamer.
  3. You need to register to view to final prices. Classic Auctions Gameworn.net If you know what you are looking for specifically, just do a google search...very helpful.
  4. No, the one I have is from 88/89...no NHL shield next to the CCM on the rear hem. I borrowed a picture from a friend who I know had a 90/91.
  5. 90/91 Gamer Not even close.
  6. Mattias Norstrom was a warrior and a personal favorite of mine. For bigger names you can go with Rob Blake or Lucky Luc.
  7. The playoff sets for 91/92 and 92/93 were airknit material. The regular season sets for those years were ultrafil. I also have a 96 that is airknit...the Kings did not make the playoffs that year so as Brilliant! says, both materials were used. Don't quote me on this, but I have heard the sets earlier in the season were ultrafil and the later sets went to airkinit, which makes sense in the case of the 91/92 and 92/93.
  8. So with that logic, if it were a fake you would rather not know and just "enjoy" your jersey? Isn't that what the majority of people who buy fakes are doing? We are here to learn and get advice, not just show off our pickups. Come on people, critiquing a jersey is not a personal attack but a chance to learn.
  9. Those were auctioned off quite a while ago, are you just now getting it? Tell us a little about the jersey, when I saw them at Staples it didn't look like they had fight straps. Not made by Reebok either...
  10. My Meigray Winter Sale jersey just came in. Semi-local Southern California ECHL affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings. I must say this jersey is really nice. Thick ultrafil knit material, nice roomy cut...the NHL jerseys should be this nice. I can't help but think of NASCAR when I see the back of this thing.
  11. It is...worn for one game against Slovakia...a 9-3 USA victory. I could be mistaken, but I don't think the blues were made available for retail.
  12. A piece of USA Hockey history arrived at my door yesterday. From the Gold medal winning team of the 1996 World Cup of Hockey and former Los Angeles King. Pictures don't do this beauty justice, especially since there seems to be something on the bottom of my lens.
  13. Thank you and to answer your question: I have only seen two other "2's" and they both had the star placement in the exact same spot. I think it is safe to assume that all the numbers would be identical as far as star placement.
  14. The Kings have worn three commemorative warm up jerseys this year. One for the Fire Department, one for the LAPD and one for Veterans Day. Not only was my dad a veteran, but he also instilled in me the love and passion I have for hockey. I had to get a Veterans Day jersey. As a bonus, Fraser scored his first goal as a King that night.
  15. Some yes, some no. Most of the game worn collectors I have met personally,(granted only a handful), do not have any other jerseys but game worns.
  16. Good and valid questions...to which I have no answers. I guess that is where integrity, trust and doing as much research as possible comes into play.
  17. I completely agree with this. However, when you buy jerseys at auctions you have no idea if the jersey was worn out or not. The same can be said of purchasing from Meigray. They can authenticate a jersey, photomatch it and register it in their system. But there is no way they can tell if the original owner of the jersey wore it for a couple of hours to a hockey game.
  18. I am no authority on the subject, just throwing out my two cents. With few exceptions, the game worn jerseys are washed before made available. So if an accident happened and you needed to wash the jersey, I don't see a problem. You aren't going to wash out the wear on the jersey. Now if you are buying your gamers with the intent of selling them down the road I absolutely would not wear them. Then you do run the risk of damaging your "investment". I didn't get into this hobby to flip jerseys, so that isn't an issue for me personally. Many of the gamers I have purchased I did so with full knowledge that they were worn occasionally, I had no problems with it.
  19. When I first started collecting game worn jerseys I thought I would never wear them out. I have my retail authentics to wear to games. I have to say my attitude has changed and I rarely wear anything but gamers. I have some I will never wear out, but the majority of mine I will wear to games. I spent all that money to enjoy my jerseys and "just having them" isn't enough for me. The ones I won't wear out I will eventually display in my home. I guess my attitude changed when I saw so many other game worn collectors wearing their jerseys to games. Also the line I read somewhere about players using the jerseys for foot mats kinda made me realize we aren't talking about lace gowns here...they are hockey jerseys! They are spilled on, spit on, sweated on, bled on, snotted on, stretched, pulled, ripped and teared. What are you going to do to the jersey that hasn't already been done?
  20. The title says it comes with Meigray Docs. All you have to do is ask for a pic of the Meigray tag/number and match it with the population report. Should be: B00394 for White set 2 Ugghhh...I am helping a Ducks fan!
  21. Before you start getting new hardware, try something every computer tech does. Power off your modem and power it back on again. Some modems also have a reset switch, wouldn't hurt to try that as well.

Isn't this the elusive Burger King jersey people are looking for? Burger King
  23. And now I know...thank you!
  24. Thank you for the correction. Perhaps you or someone could explain why there is paper backing when numbers are machine stitched.
