  1. Gotcha. Yeah, don't a bunch of other people tell you what to collect or if you should/shouldnt. I just block the guys who are annoying for one reason or another and makes it WAY more enjoyable (I think Im closing on 100 people blocked on FB specifically from the groups).
  2. I like it when the people complain on there about getting out of the hobby, then post a new arrival here.
  3. Depends on the year/equipment manager. 2006-2010 was pretty good, then it just got markedly drunker to the point we're at now.
  4. Been a while since I posted, but a couple interesting pickups. 2016/17 Milwaukee Admirals "First Responders" jersey. This was a 1-period wonder auctioned by the AHL, with surprisingly decent wear with 2 identifiable marks. The 2nd/3rd Period jersey sold on auction at the game for somewhere around a whopping $4.5k so to get this for 1/9th of the price (and is my wife's fav player). The numbers are all sublimated, with the sleeve #s being a singular patch, making it look like complete rubbish. 2016/17 Milwaukee Admirals Juuse Saros. Named to AHL All-Star team, but was in Nashville since the other backup was too awful. Great puckmarks on the shoulders and good size repair on the front.
  5. Have 1x Size 54 available. All are from the 2010/11 season with the AHL Patch missing for sewing of the AHL 75th Patch. Notable players from this season would be #15 Ryan Ellis (making his Pro Debut) and #33 Roman Josi. Asking $160 plus shipping on each as PP gift (or buyer covers fees) Edit: 1 Sz 54 sold, 1 remaining. Size 52 sold as well.
  6. Someone remind JJ of the rules?

I tried the same to no avail.
  8. Game log! http://www.echl.com/player?playerId=1407&season=9
  9. You mean this one? http://sports.mearsonlineauctions.com/1998_1999_Wayne_Gretzky_New_York_Rangers_White_Lib-LOT111279.aspx
  10. Looks like the jersey was originally a double-digit number, based on the stitch-holes visible in the twill of the fight strap.
  11. That was my experience as well. Made an offer in ~2014 for an AHL jersey that had gone through multiple 50% off and BOGO sales, and they refused to get to those prices.
  12. Has anyone heard how/if this affects AHL teams next season?

Actually its "Detroit Sucks", and I'm pretty sure that used to happen before the blue-collar fan was priced out of the arena. (The move of Detroit to the East also helped quiet that down). Usually its simply to the "Lets Go Hawks" tune, since adding extra versus sounds like too much work.
  14. That's why I'm going to start a GoFundMe page.
  15. Wait, so we already have A Morten here?
  16. I think thats more common than you think, sadly. I've been there before, where you just want to open up negotiations and they're too dense to realize that there is likely a happy medium between the 2 prices. I enjoy the "For sale?" then you provide a price, they ask 5 obvious questions that google would answer, then disappear.
  17. Awesome collection theme. I have a few of those myself and they're all great. Also, really glad someone else bought that Dumont. It kept tempting me, but I managed to successfully resist (instead I got his Mustard Preds 3rd from the only season he was there for them)
  18. 2000/01 Tyler Wright Columbus Blue Jackets Interesting thing I noticed when photographing is the blue color appears to be bands of two different shades. Something you can't really notice when looking at it in person.
  19. What about former Ranger Brodie Dupont!
  20. I get the impression that I've blocked most of these people so I can't get to read them.
  21. Next will be the cross-matching question "do you being your LOAs to a game?"
  22. Nice Labrie! I picked up the white Preseason-worn one for a friend in Rockford. Showed great wear for a 1.0 being worn only a few games.
  23. I find that to be the case for 99.9% of goal pucks. Proof that its what it says it is seems rather difficult. That being said, there's a price for everything and what someone is willing to pay for additional assurance of legitimacy varies person to person.
  24. While I don't entirely disagree, I do disagree that an absence of photos from one source definitively means that it was not used in a specific game. Especially when the person supplying the images could have a vested interest. That being said, I don't think it put a positive light in anyone involved in that discussion.
