  1. That's an interesting point about the sublimation, I hadn't thought of that. Here's a counter to that, though- I have a couple of Rangers Liberty replicas as well as one of those funky blue Pens fashion jerseys, and they're the exact same knit material as the Robopens (but obviously not sublimated). All my Starter replicas are the same material-wise, so I just assumed (wrongly, it seems) that all other Starters were like that as well. Even though I don't buy replicas anymore, I'm going to start paying attention to some eBay auctions for Starter replicas, in order to find out more about the materials- I just have to know these things. Yeah, I know, I've got a problem...
  2. So you're saying that the Starter Pittsburgh "diagonal" replica jerseys were made of the airknit material with the pinhole pattern? If so, I wonder why they made the black Robopenguin replicas out of a different kind of airknit that's more tightly woven. I have some of these, and you can't really see the holes in the fabric.
  3. Oh right, you posted that mesh one somewhere just recently. I guess I hadn't paid close enough attention to realize there were airknit Starters like that. I have a handful of Starter replicas, including a few Rangers, but they're all made of the same polyester knit that doesn't look like the one in the eBay auction.
  4. I noticed something strange about this jersey- the airknit material in it looks nothing like the stuff I usually see in Starter replicas. In fact, it looks more like the airknit used in CCM/Koho/Reebok jerseys. What's the deal here?
  5. BrassBonanza, there is a lot of variation in tagging in replicas, even within the same brand and model- nothing to worry about in your case. There is often a strong resemblance between replica and authentic hem tags of the same time period, but as Rage mentioned earlier, the tails/tags guide is only for authentics- so again, don't worry about missing team logos or NHL shields on replicas, it doesn't mean they're not legit. The CCM rink neck tag dates your replica to the mid-to-late 90's. I have around 10 of these replicas with that rink tag, and they all have CCM block hem logos just like yours. Most have team logos next to them, but others don't (All-Star jerseys, for example). I even have multiple copies of some CCM replicas that are identical in style/model, but made during a transition period so the neck tag and hem logo are different between them. One of them had a sewn-on patch hem logo which I stripped because I wanted to put it on a different jersey, and I was surprised to find an old red, white and blue screened logo underneath! And, welcome to the forum!
  6. What a concept, huh? Effing Reebok.
  7. I'm with you there. Love those 90's ultrafils...
  8. Avstars, take a look at this photo I posted earlier in the "Is it good or not" thread. It compares a 6100 46 (underneath) with a Reebok Edge 50. Trust me on this, you do not want to go over 46 on a 6100- even a 46 will be quite large on you.
  9. I would go no bigger than 46, the smallest size available. 6100's fit MUCH bigger than the same numeric size Edges. The sleeves will be much baggier too.
  10. Here's a thread that's pretty self-explanatory: http://boards.sportslogos.net/topic/81040-kiss-cut-numbers/
  11. You're right, it is miniscule but it's immediately noticeable- I saw something was wrong the minute I looked at it. Uh, you're not going to spend another month on this, are you? Your GF is really gonna hate you...
  12. Yep, actually that was you I was referring to earlier in this thread.
  13. That explains what happened to my order. I just wish they would have said something about that before doing the job. So much for their "same as on-ice" claim.

Johnny, you've got enough info here for a dissertation. Good work, man!
  15. Wow, I hadn't noticed the thing about the 7 and 5 until now. I was planning to get a couple from them as well. Also, does the raised border on the Murf patch seem a bit too wide?

    Ebay 2.0

Bummer. From the picture it sure doesn't look that narrow relative to the length. Oh, well.

    Ebay 2.0

Just for your reference, mine is 24" wide with a back length of 32". If the Sharks is close to that, it should fit just fine.

    Ebay 2.0

It's probably not as small as you think. Nikes fit pretty big- I have a Wings 44 and it fits exactly like a CCM ultrafil 46. From our previous conversations it seems it would fit perfectly on you. You should ask the seller for measurements.

    RBK EDGE prototypes

That's a pretty fascinating jersey, if you ask me. Thanks for the detailed photos!
  20. Weren't you the guy with the CCM Rangers 44? That should match up very well with a 550 medium. (I wear both those sizes myself, as well as an Edge 50)
  21. Every 1994 gamer I've seen photos of has the identical patches. The Getty photo is definitely mislabeled- many of their photos are off by quite a few years. If a photo has a non-specific looking date like Jan 01 I don't trust it as being accurate. The guy standing behind Leetch has a 1996 ASG patch on his jacket anyway, so you know the photo has the wrong date.
  22. That's weird; I called them few days ago and they said they had no more white ones and quite a few blue ones. Well, I suppose it doesn't matter now anyway, at least for me...
  23. The '94 does have a nameplate. http://www.classicauctions.net/Default.aspx?tabid=263&auctionid=63&lotid=846 If you still want Bure, he was #10 that year.
  24. Gameday Sports Archives in Toronto did a good job on mine. http://gamedaysportsarchives.com/ALLSTAR/ALLSTAR.htm Normally I'd recommend EPS but on this particular font their letters are a bit too thin. (I know there's at least one other member here besides me who got the thin letters from EPS.) Gameday's are more accurate.

    Small Jersey Size

I think the NHL.com chart is way off base with the pit-to-pit measurements; the numbers are way too high. The IceJerseys one seems much more accurate to me, although their pit-to-pit measurements on the Reebok Premiers seem too large as well. As you already guessed, it depends on how you measure. Most jerseys have some kind of underarm gusset, and the width measurement can vary depending on what part of the gusset you measure from.
