  1. If I’m not mistaken, the “Hockey Company” tag did not appear on CCM jerseys until 1997. So I think you may be right about the ultrafil being a leftover with the newer tagging applied. I would just treat it as a regular ultrafil and put on any player who wore an ultrafil, including Lemieux. The gamers didn’t have that tag, or even the Center Ice tag, so I personally think the tags are irrelevant here. In fact, you could even pull them off if they bother you that much.
  2. Since Illinois is now on lockdown, will EPS even be operating, I wonder.
  3. In addition, Carolina, Florida, Minnesota, Nashville, and possibly Buffalo.
  4. LMAO. Just to make you doubly sick, a pickup of mine a few weeks ago:
  5. If you have metallic threads on your patches, or even metallic twill on the jersey, I’d be careful about using Oxiclean or bleach products on them.
  6. OH MY GOD. Absolutely amazing. If I’m not mistaken, that looks like an original Oilers. I would love to find out how you got a hold of that one!
  7. So EPS actually manufactured the lettering for the game jerseys this year? In recent years, I had the impression they were using perforated numbers obtained elsewhere (i.e. not made by EPS) and just stitching them onto the jerseys.
  8. Beautiful jersey. However, I don’t recall anyone hating the on-ice Adidas; it’s the Indonesian-made retail “authentics” that are essentially replica quality that some people have issues with.
  9. As time passes, the more it seems to me that Adidas only bothered making significant quantities of both colors for Canadian teams only. For US teams, you were lucky to see just a gray jersey for your team, and many sold out pretty quickly. Very few US teams had both colors available, the Devils being one of them. The only time I’ve even seen a white jersey available for other US teams is if the team store or a local dealer happened to preorder them from Adidas. If no dealer orders them for your team, then apparently you’re SOL. I haven’t seen either color available anywhere for a team like Carolina, for example. Part of the problem, I imagine, is that there are 62 different designs possible. I figure Adidas didn’t want to risk getting stuck with a ton of unsold jerseys after the event, and so perhaps they did not bother to make significant quantities of most designs in a particular color (especially the white ones) unless they received an order from a team store or dealer in advance. I have not seen a single white Kings one yet, (not even from TeamLA Store, which usually carries stuff like this but is still trying to get rid of last year’s ASG jerseys) so I’m actually in the process of “making” my own. I ordered a white blank of a Canadian team, and will strip off the crest and apply a Kings crest from last year’s white ASG which I got for cheap on eBay. I can’t believe I actually have to do this.
  10. It looked pretty decent to me too; the “P” and perhaps the “S” were slightly off, but nothing major. I’m also wondering what I’m missing. 🙂
  11. Someone already ordered one from Shop NHL and got an Indo. I’m not holding out much hope of getting an MiC SS.
  12. The tag just indicates that it was manufactured later on, probably 1994 or later.
  13. For me, it’s just a question of authenticity. If after the game I find out that the player jerseys have them, along with the double elbows, then I’ll be disappointed that once again, we are given something that isn’t on-ice accurate. I can live without them if the player jerseys don’t have them either.
  14. I just got a Kings ASG online through the NHL Shop, and to my surprise, it’s MiC! No fight strap or double elbows, though. 🤔 Also, it’s the smallest size 50 I’ve ever seen- it has the width of a 46. I just don’t understand what the hell is going on with these ASG jerseys...
  15. The gold toe crest was used on entire sets of jerseys, not just for a few players.
  16. Looks like an original to me. Btw, I only see one picture; not sure if there’s supposed to be another.
  17. This matches what I’ve seen as well, in the few cases where I could see for sure what the material was. During the regular season anyway, the nameplates appear to be airknit. The nameplate covers an area which is almost 100% airknit anyway. For Custom Crafted, they used airknit plates on the Bruins during that year, as far as I know.
  18. Quality wise, it doesn’t look like a fake. It looks like an ultrafil 1996/97 authentic, except for some weird details. The crest, as you mentioned, has the colors of the road crest, not the home one. Other details on the crest don’t look quite right either; it almost looks like a replica crest. The jersey is missing the Wild Wing patches on the shoulders. And the neck tags below the Nike tag are not standard for a 96/97 Nike, or for any other year for that matter. Maybe it’s an early (prototype) version of that jersey.
  19. Sorry, just cleared up some space.
  20. Thanks for pointing that out; I hadn’t noticed that before. I see what you mean, and the March 08 pics definitely look old font, both the 2’s and 9’s. They are wearing 2.0’s, so it’s apparently not a 1.0 vs. 2.0 thing, but probably just a date issue. I saw a pic of a 1.0 with the new font as well, used late in the season. Does this shot of Toews in the background from November 07 look clear enough to you to confirm it’s the old font? Looks like 1.0’s to me: https://www.gettyimages.ca/detail/news-photo/daniel-sedin-of-the-vancouver-canucks-keeps-a-tight-check-news-photo/78088002
  21. I’m not quite sure what you meant about the “Nike/Koho font for the 2’s and 6’s.” I definitely see a difference between a #2 in the pre-Edge + Edge 1.0 era vs. the 2.0 era, but is there supposed to be a difference in the 6’s between those eras? I couldn’t see any significant difference between either 6’s or 9’s from the pre-Edge, 1.0 or 2.0 eras. They all looked the same to me. Maybe I’m not seeing something?
  22. That is the correct CCM font that should have been used. This pic shows what #16 should look like; actually it’s Buchberger’s actual mesh 89/90 gamer from the exact same time period. The holes and gaps in the 6 are off too, as well as the relative thicknesses of each twill layer:
