With all respect to you, and this is just my opinion, the numbers are even more inaccurate than the letters font wise, and they were almost certainly not applied by the team to be a game-issue. Even the letters are not the correct Nike font, so itâs probably not an original nameplate anyway. So I guess I donât see what it is youâre trying to preserve by not changing the numbers. Whether you put Messier, Kurri or Buchberger on it, itâs an âauthentic replica,â not a GI/GW, so why not go with the player of choice, if the owner doesnât want a Buchberger? If I had that jersey, I wouldnât put him on it.

That same thought occurred to me too, but I remember that the 1997 ASG game worn jerseys, which had to have been manufactured in 1996, had those tags also. So at least we know those tags existed at that time.

Thanks to everyone for the kind comments!

Twin 1980âs Kings game worn pickups! 1984/85 road jersey of HOFâer Steve Shutt, worn during the only season in which he didnât play for the Canadiens. I remember the 84/85 season quite fondly, as it was the year I really became a Kings fan! 1985/86 Jim Fox home jersey. I donât know exactly why itâs a big deal to me, but I particularly like these 80âs jerseys that have the Adidas logo on the hem. As is typical of 85/86 jerseys, the original fight strap was cut out and replaced by another which was sewn through one of the back numbers. Both of these jerseys are quite small (about a size 48), as both players were rather small by NHL standards- I can easily fit in these things, so itâs really great to have a few gamers I could actually wear if I wanted to! Happy Thanksgiving to everyone in the US!

Adidas retail Adizero, size 46 ASG over a Kings 2.0 size 46. Adidas sleeves are significantly narrower, but longer than those of the 2.0. Width at pit level is about the same, but at the hem the Adidas flares out a bit more to the sides and is slightly wider there. Adidas is just very slightly longer from collar to hem. Same Adidas 46 over a 2008 ASG 1.0 46. Sleeves are about the same width and length. Adidas width slightly greater at pit and hem levels, and slightly longer as well. Additional pics of Adidas 46 with tape measure: Length: 32â https://flic.kr/p/2hRHLiZ Width at pit level: 21â https://flic.kr/p/2hRGNva Width at hem: 24â https://flic.kr/p/2hREibV Sleeve length from tip to top center of collar: 33â https://flic.kr/p/2hRHMKS

What exactly is it that you would like sized/photographed/compared?
-
Someone really fâed up there.

Mistake in pricing; normally $380, marked down to $19.99.

Ah, thanks- I donât recall ever seeing that kind of patch before. Pretty cool you were able to photomatch it despite it being used in the PS.

Cool Recchi! Curious, whatâs that lettering below the size tag?
-
Iâve seen CCM Robopens in size 36.

This guyâs other items are 2.0âs, and supposedly game worns, all good quality stuff. Heâs no noob at this, so I donât see any way he could not know that the jersey heâs selling is nothing other than a relettered preseason jersey. He even has the MeiGray LOA, which is certainly not going to say âgame-issued for Nichushkin,â so to claim it as such is just being rather dishonest, IMO. It would be different if he had actually said âteam-issued, lettered with Nichushkin.â

On the wash tag itâs not Chinese, itâs Japanese. It doesnât look like a tag that belongs on the jersey. It looks perfectly legit otherwise.

Seemed like a good game to me too! đ

The Starter logo on the back hem also changed between 96/97 and 97/98. The letter fonts changed as well.
-
If they arenât mesh, then youâre looking at replicas, not authentics.
-
Late to the party here, but Kings jerseys did not use nameplates in 97/98. The only Kings jerseys in 2003 that used nameplates were the vintage purple and gold ones.
-
I donât think itâs there anymore. The Gretzky jerseys there now include a 1980/81 Oilers, the â89 Kings worn when he broke Howeâs all-time scoring record, a â91 Canada Cup, a â92 All-Star, and a 95/96 Blues.

I swear, this never fails. Whenever I make a post somewhere about when an order of mine might get done, I get a shipping notice around an hour after! Lol.

They received my order at the US shipping address on August 24, invoice was paid 5 weeks ago. Havenât heard anything yet, but hopefully it wonât be much longer until I get a shipping notification.

You gotta do what makes you feel best. Those twin patches on the 2001/02âs look pretty cool anyway!
-
Thanks. That proves those flag tags were manufactured prior to 2001/02, but the Kings might not have used those until later in the 2001/02 season. Whatâs interesting to me is that some of the 2000/01 Kohos had Koho tags on the back collar, but a CCM tag on the inside, like on this Robitaille: https://www.classicauctions.net/mobile/LotDetail.aspx?inventoryid=108175 Also this alternate: https://www.classicauctions.net/mobile/LotDetail.aspx?inventoryid=107153

It wouldnât bother me, but there were a few minor tagging differences between the 2 seasons. Just curious, does your jersey have the single Made in Canada flag/size tag, or separate small size tag and MiC tags?

Also, the sleeves are a lot wider on the throwback, and the fight strap would be the flat-buttoned one instead of the rounded one.
