  1. Even though AIS was the company where the customization was done, Bob (Bobcat) was the one doing it. He is going to be the best to ask.

  3. Adidas has a facility in Indiana that is identical in nature to the Quebec facility. They can knit any polyester fabric, cut, sew, sublimate, laser anything that the Quebec facility could do.
  4. adidas has shown each team their jerseys with THEIR numbering on them. Apparently, the same thing we saw on the basketball side (i.e. numbers with laser etching, "jersey material" numbers, etc.) is coming to the NHL sooner than you think. That also means that they will more than likely do sublimated numbers when possible as well. I can guarantee you that ONE team WILL have something "different" in their overall look, including their letters and numbers, which the NHL pushed this team to do. I don't believe that adidas is doing the physical sewing of the letters and numbers, however, the product itself WILL be supplied by adidas. As far as the practice jerseys are concerned, the entire FRONT PANEL of the jersey will be sublimated. The only stitched on logos you will see will be any sponsor patches that the team may have. I know of one team that flat out rejected the adidas letters and numbers.
  5. If you don't like the numbers on the AS jersey, get ready for what's coming from adidas down the road!
  6. They are small mom and pop businesses more often than not, that work hard to get contracts with individual teams and keep them. NONE have a league deal, in ANY league. If it were up to the NHL, adidas would be lettering and numbering EVERY GAME JERSEY from EVERY TEAM! #facts
  7. Did anyone go or get any photos of this? LAK74?
  8. Was told by an NHL client that the samples they were shown of their new practice jerseys had sublimated logos on them.
  9. LA Kings are going to wear the Burger King jersey on Saturday, January 14/2017 vs Winnipeg.
  10. The equipment was a lot smaller back then and it wasn't until the latter part of the 80s that Douglas and Easton introduced "football-style" shoulder pads. As years have gone by, the equipment (elbow + shoulder pads) has gotten "more protective" (i.e. larger)
  11. You should've heard the language he used when I turned him down...LOL
  12. This thread reminds me of the guy who called me years back and wanted me to make BK jerseys with the CCM logos on them and I said no...
  13. Nicaragua is where all of the adidas NCAA game jerseys are being made. This jersey was airknit material throughout, not NHL game weight, EDGE 2.0 styling.
  14. Delorme strikes again! http://www.wsj.com/articles/the-great-nhl-debate-is-it-a-sweater-or-a-jersey-1464733603
  15. Not Yes, ClimaCool, said it right on the jersey. Photo is of an Argentina jersey, Messi in fact. The material is the same as EDGE 1.0, turned inside out.
  16. Found this at the adidas store this past weekend. It's climacool...look familiar?
  17. That's A LOT of collector jersey $ for ANY customizer, especially a business like his. Just throwing out round numbers for those who aren't mathematicians, let's call it 3% of $1 million in sales (he's probably doing more), there's $30k, and now, think about what each jersey you customize averages in price. Like I said, that's a lot of jerseys and a fair $!
  18. Unfortunately, this is what keeps many of our lights on, the big team orders. And for Josh, it's not like he only has 5-6 teams, he is numbering in 20-30, and possibly more with NFL and college football & basketball. Take that and multiply each team by four sets of 30, and that's quite a bit of jerseys, not to mention, time. I'm not a fan of doing collectors jobs. I'm upfront and honest about it. It's a pain in the Arse because many of you are a pain in the Arse, HOWEVER, I get it. The thing that many of you fail to remember is that you're asking, in many instances, a guy like Josh to do a job for you for a team he doesn't normally do, and you're asking him to give you specific placement of someone else's work. My suggestion is to send to the company who does the customization for that team because they do it time and time and time again. As far as being rude, there's no place for that. See my comment above with regards to someone other than the team customizer doing the job. Glad you see it from the other side. You cannot have a group waiting for collectors orders to come in. And trust me, when team orders are in, you need every body imaginable doing their thing. There's a ton of set up in the twill that needs to be cut, the laser operator, the heat pressing of the twill, and finally to sew. There's a ton to do!
  19. Interesting fabric on the Czech jerseys. Some of it looks like the EDGE 1.0 Diamond Knit, but, that mesh with the "golf ball" dimples in it is different!
  20. I was referring to the jersey material itself, although, adidas certainly has the capabilities to do it in both Canada and Europe.
  21. That's not UltraFil. I have a fabric here very similar to that called Pinhole Knit. It's a very interesting pattern the way it is knitted. The jerseys, with exception of the logos shown, are sublimated...
