Thank you all for the responses. Its always good to hear from a third party. Here its all caps and pens. I personally think the pens are a better team but i think ovi is the better player. I don think he should be the captain i agree hes more of the lead by example type. I think green should go and semin just disappears too often to call him good. Ovi in the past 2-3 years has become more of a team player and defensive player and i like that but hes been analyzed too much hes not the star like he used to be. Im glad hunter is coach just to have some familiar faces to build onto the small history we have. I hope we get in the groove and can pull through. I also think neither are the best teams and dont deserve the recognition. Same withthe players. Maybe a few years ago but both players have settled into the league and dont stand out. At least the redskins suck consistently!

how can you tell?

So I'm a Caps fan and here its nothing but caps vs. pens. theres constant hatred and debate on whose a better team. I don't follow much of the rest of the league other than playoffs, so i'm sort of in a bubble. So what does everyone else think that aren't a caps or pens fan? Do you like one team better than another? Do you like the rivalry or do you even care about it? How about the true fans...and the bandwagoners? Ovi vs. Crybaby?

Although, i do cheer for my home team, the capitals, many people call us bandwagon fans because of recent success (well not so recent success ) but i as born in 92, and my uncle got me into them. I've always lived in maryland. my uncle was the equipment manager, or something with the equipment. he is good friends with Rod Langway (a good friend of mine is actually dating his niece) and Olaf Kolzig. he was almost suited to play a game as goalie once. he was the second backup they were gonna ask. but thats who got me into hockey and then of course the caps. so please believe me! I AM NOT A BANDWAGONER!

im having a tough time determining if my Capitals Ovechkin jersey is a fake. I got it from my manager at work (who is a blackhawks fan) he says it was real, and i'm 99% sure it was a gift to him. It has the "A" so i'm assuming it is an EDGE 1.0. i did the water test and the water wicked away. It is also stretchy, though i don't know how stretchy it is supposed to be, but i would say it is pretty stretchy. From what I can tell the stitching is correct and colors and fonts look appropriate. The reebok patch on the back neck and the NHL badge on the throat looks correct as well (the NHL is black and grey/silver). The size tag and RBK/NHL authentic tag on the neck seem correct. What im worried about is the "A" doesn't seem right. the little triangle inside the letter is solid white. should that be red with a white border? also around the stitching on the front capitals logo, some of the edges are somewhat sharp/rough. Could that be from how old it is? lastly the fight strap stretches longways and i've seen inconsistent pictures about a proper fight strap. it is sewn properly though: direct center, you can see the square on the outside under the number, the sewing is the square within a square with an X patern in the smaller square. If this is a fake, its the best fake ive ever seen, how can someone get something like the "A" wrong, but have the water wicking material?
