  1. From the articles I have read, the on-ice jerseys are still going to be produced in the same factory that the Adidas ones are currently made. Therefore I really don't expect the quality of MiC jerseys and gamers to suffer at all. This is why I am a little confused about all the pearl-clutching going on in the game worn circles about this news. I think the big question mark are what is going to happen to the retail authentic line. I can imagine they will continue to make them in Indonesia and be relatively the same quality as the current ones now. However, even the articles pointed out, Fanatics want to eventually start experimenting with new materials and who knows where that will head.
  2. Not Facebook, but my new favorite thing is looking at hockey jersey accounts on IG and some of the names on there. I get a big kick when I see account names like "Emperorofalljerseycollectors123" and it's six replica jerseys.
  3. I wish the Devils wore them more than 4 games this season. They wore their RR 1.0's for 6 games. I know they had a bit of a "theme" to the games they picked (former Atlantic Division opponents) but I have a feeling that's just marketing BS since they were so late in announcing the dates for these. I wonder if either their new 3rd's put a dent into them (those are being worn for 10 games I believe this season) or they saw some of the mixed reception to these. The other possibility is that since these are white that makes it harder to wear them, especially at home (2 of the 4 games they wore their RR 2.0's were away games).
  4. Devils only wore their RR 2.0's for 4 games this season and they played the last one this past weekend. They actually used 3 sets this time; set 1 was the first two games (which is what I got), set 2 was the 3rd game (against Pitt), and set 3 was the fourth game (against NYR). The set 3's were kept by the players.
  5. Erika Haula 2022-23 Reverse Retro 2.0 set 1 game worn jersey. This was worn in the 12/3/22 win against Philly and the 12/9/22 loss against the Islanders. While wearing this jersey he scored an assist on a Hughes goal against Philly as well as recorded 2 penalty minutes. Due to the limited use, the wear is very light.
  6. It's been a few months since my last update, so here we go: 1) Jason Smith 1996-97 white set 1. Some good wear including a popped collar, multiple marks and some repaired and unrepaired holes. 2) Yegor Sharangovich 2021-22 red set 2. Worn for 13 games, he scored 7 goals and 6 assists in this jersey including his first career hat trick against the Panthers on April 2nd, 2022. It is photomatched to that game and has several marks and repairs on the sleeves. 3) Adam Larsson 2012-13 red set 1. Worn by Adam for 13 games and notched 3 assists while wearing this jersey. Has some good wear including marks and repairs on the sleeves. It is photomatched to the 3/19/13 game against the Rangers. 4) Brad Lukowich 2006-07 white set 2. Worn by Brad for 17 games and scored 2 goals and 2 assists in this jersey. Has some wear including marks and unrepaired holes on the sleeves. There also appears to be some small old blood stains as well. It is photomatched to him scoring the OT game winner in Philly on Feb 1st, 2007. 5) John Vanbiesbrouck 2001-02 white set 3. Worn by Beezer in only 2 games, this has very light wear but is photomatched to a mark on the front. Jersey also has custom-tightened sleeves. Owning a Beezer Devils game worn has been one of my top 5 wants for a long time so I am thrilled to have this.
  7. Has anyone else joined? I did and uploaded my entire jersey collection on there. It hasn't been 100% smooth sailing but the owners of the site seem to be very open to feedback and are quick to respond. Would be nice if that eventually replaces GW.net. I would love for the game worn hobby to finally move away from FB and Reddit and onto an actual website and forum.
  8. Yeah there is some good jersey stuff in there. It's just a tough medium to have discussion when it's basically a never-ending chat across multiple channels on the same server with mostly under 25 year olds talking to each other in memes (I also want to make it clear this goes for all of Discord and is not unique to the hockey jerseys server). I am not even 40 (though pretty close) and I feel like an old fart on there.
  9. I tried to partake in Discord but I found it mostly to be for younger collectors who like to talk to each other in memes.
  10. Yeah FB is a terrible platform for this and reddit is even worse IMO. Apparently there is a decent following on Discord but that is even worse than FB and Reddit.
  11. Yes, this is the old IJ forum.
  12. My Bratt Third Jersey Jersey. It's his set 1 which was worn in the first 7 games that they wore these jerseys. Set 2 was worn the next 6 games and set 3 was worn just on SOTB night (1 game). However, due to illness/injuries, Bratt only wore this in 4 games but still notched 3 goals and 3 assists while wearing it. Has some decent wear including loose threads, marks, and an unrepaired hole on the right sleeve. I was able to photomatch it to the 1/25/22 game against Dallas to the marks on the sleeve.
  13. Some buyers are unwilling to cover the fees and some sellers just don't want the ball to be fully in the buyers court via G&S. I just think the current majority view that F&F is almost automatically a red flag/possible scammer is a bit silly and the word scammer is thrown around way too much in the hobby. Hell, half the posts in the bad seller/trader group are just people who are pissy that a deal wasn't done and not really an issue of someone being scammed.
  14. So it seems like the prevailing conventional wisdom through most of the non-game worn FB groups and reddit is that any seller wanting/insisting on F&F are likely scammers. When did this happen? There was a post in the under $150 jersey group where a guy posted a PM with a seller where the seller would only do the deal via F&F and didn't want to go through the time of providing references/vouches. Immediately the response is that the seller is or likely is a scammer. I think it is still too vague to make any proclamations either way and I see this happening quite a bit over the years within those sections of the jersey collecting world. I may be wrong here, but I see this more as the seller putting up his terms/boundries and the buyer not feeling comfortable about that. Is that enough to call someone a scammer rather than just a buyer and seller not being able to come to a deal?
  15. Man, the amount of scammers getting into the game worn and authentic jersey FB groups has gotten a little out of hand the last 5-6 months. I feel like every week there is another one. Almost all claim to have a game worn for sale at a ridiculous price (and always in great condition/no rips) and using photos stolen from other people's listings on eBay.
  16. It's been a bit since I posted my latest adds so here they are: Mike Cammalleri 2016-17 white set 1. Decent wear and tightened cuffs on this and scored a hat trick while wearing this jersey against Carolina on 11/6/2016. Viktor Kozlov 2003-04 white set 3 / Playoffs - Nice wear on this and photomatched to a couple of photos against the Flyers in the first round of the playoffs that year. Anton Volchenkov 2012-13 white set 1 - Like most Volchenkovs this has good wear and is photomatched to several games. David Clarkson 2008-09 white set 1 - This is one of two white set 1's for Clarkson from this season per the Meigray population report. Matched it to several games in March of 2009.
  17. Reddit is chaotic as it's everything on one subreddit. As someone who doesn't collect replicas, it's a bit to sift through before finding things I want to find.
  18. It's still where a large chunk of the hobby is located, unfortunately. It's basically FB and reddit these days. Forums, which I think are still the best format for this hobby, are pretty much non-existent.
  19. Reason # 78326121 why the hobby should move away from FB. I got kicked out of a small hockey jersey & memorabilia group yesterday. This was because a guy was razzing off awful knockoffs with 12 spots at $10 a piece. So he was collecting $120 per on a jersey that cost him about $30. I pointed out how 1) they are knockoffs (he wasn't upfront about that part at first) and 2) how much money he is making off of razzing fakes. So it looks like he complained to the admins and the admins wrote a post taking his side saying that because he was "upfront" about them being "not authentic" (this was after me and several others pointed out the other day his jerseys are knockoffs) that they will allow him to continue. I took them to task for it and got predictably kicked. FB is probably the worst venue/platform for this hobby. A lot of the groups on there are only as good as the mods and a lot of these groups have shifty or terrible mods/admins who don't care about being a mod/admin but care more that they have the title.
  20. Since it has been a while since anyone posted in this thread and even longer since I posted in here, below are my latest pickups since my last post: Wayne Simmonds 2019-20 Red set 1 - relatively light wear for a guy who plays with the edge he does. Martin Havlat 2014-15 white set 2 - Photomatched with some light-ish wear. Ryane Clowe 2013-14 white set 3 - Light wear on this one as well Jack Hughes 2020-21 white set 2 - Worn in one game on 4/25/21 in Philly. Photomatched.
  21. Do you mean the layer on the crest that is the same material as the rest of the jersey? If so, good riddance as I have seen a bunch of Devils have that part peel off during gameplay.
