  1. I saw a Roy fake at the game here in Calgary the other day that doesn't even hold a candle to that one believe it or not, it was simply atrocious.
  2. Bought it in an auction, but I got for $300. Given the cost of an Edge authentic, forget the customization and the fact that it's game-worn, I figured it was easily worth that much.
  3. Just got a Nathan Macmaster Calgary Hitmen game-worn Edge 2.0 from the Hitmen Teddy Bear Toss game. The players themselves presented the jerseys, so it was fun to be able to chat with the guy who's jersey you now have

Fair enough! I just casually read the auction title and didn't even think to look at the price. Well, if their goal was to flip for a quick little profit they clearly failed. But it was relisted for like $50, so maybe its just a better looking fake than most Flames ones after all.

It's most likely legit, the Flames team store was selling them for $199 in the summer so they probably got one there and are just flipping it for a bit of profit.
  6. Nothing special here, but it is my first authentic which I am pretty stoked about. Plus I wanted an excuse to test out the camera on the iPhone 4
  7. Got this one just in time to watch Canada lose its quarterfinal on Thursday. I debated between Getzlaf and Toews but went with Getzlaf due to the Hitmen connection.

Pacific Coast is awesome. Customization is good and they are super fast on the turnaround in my lone experience with them.
  9. It(one jersey, just posted front and back) was $200 with shipping extra, so a little cheaper than from a retailer but pretty standard price. I think all in I saved about $10 bucks compared to going into a Jersey City or using IJ or whatever. It was not a pre-customized listing, although it wouldn't shock me if they had a couple Ovechkins already kicking around (though the A on the front would probably indicate that even if it was kicking around that they did it as opposed to the Nike pre-done ones which had no captaincy letters on them). Also, it appears my pictures seem to only work some of the time, so I'll try to fix that tomorrow(today?) when I'm a little more coherent after some sleep.
  10. Just got this in from Pacific Coast Cresting, those guys are crazy fast. I ordered Friday, and as the topic name is, it arrived today (Thursday). Pictures are a little low quality courtesy my iPhone 3G's lackluster camera...
  11. While we're on a minor league/junior theme, I just picked up these two: Hitmen 15th anniversary jersey, still waiting on the 15th anniversary patch for it though... Hitmen edge jersey Sorry for the grainy photos, but there's the iPhone camera for you...

The one fake that makes me laugh hysterically every time is the Flames red jersey with a WHITE collar tie-up that literally is a shoelace. It doesn't really take a rocket scientist to figure that one out, seeing as how none of the Flames jerseys have a white collar tie on them. Also, I recently got a Sabres 3rd jersey that I'm having a hell of a time deciding if its a fake or legit. For the price it's either the world's worst(best?) seller or a fake, but it checks out on absolutely every comparison point in tb426's thread as a legit jersey. I'll get some pics up when I get a chance.
  13. For those wondering about the sizing tag on the front, I had an experience the other day that may be a positive sign. I was at the FanAttic store at the Saddledome looking around, and one of the jerseys they had for sale had the tag half fallen off. I grabbed it and looked at the inside and there was no visible damage done to the jersey, so it sure seems to me like they would be easy to take off with no negative repurcussions.
  14. I also find that they look better with the curved stripes around the bottom a la Calgary, Columbus, and Washington.
  15. Actually, I've heard from many sources that Reebok didn't mandate that any team changes styles and certainly didn't force anything on any team. How else can newer teams like the Devils not be changing? Most teams wanted a slight alteration to push more jerseys and because this was a good time to do so. Reebok also didn't design any of the new jerseys unless they were asked to. I know that here in Calgary the Flames did their jersey entirely by themselves.
