  1. I guess most of the various members here are pretty intense when it comes to their jerseys - I wasn't aware that you wear the jerseys you collect, just more to collect and display, than to actually wear them. Personally I'd be too afraid to wear say a Canadiens jersey to a Leafs game loll.
  2. these WC jersey's aren't the best loll
  3. The man must've been drunk loll it was at a game right? Isolated incident - he was probably just trying to show off his own knowledge or something
  4. Interesting indeed - I remember when the Senators had their sale last year. Toronto had a similar sale but was for their Indo-Edges I think they were $150 clearance at Real Sports.
  5. that is terrible - looks like I'm going to cancel my order then. Yea if you use the code NHLE at check out I believe it applies a 30% discount, and shipping is free for the week. I wouldn't mind the letters being pressed but if they're not going to be accurate then what's the point... So the ones at Real Sports aren't accurate either then? Another poster mentioned they're using the current font (on the regular jerseys) but I'm assuming the WC ones should look different.
  6. NHL Shop currently has a sale going on for the WC jersey's with player customization (only for Lupul, Liles, and Grabovski) $142 shipped to ON. Anybody know if it's a good deal? I remember reading somewhere about how the NHL Shop glues on their lettering/numbers instead of stitching them on?
  7. Anyone can comment on these? http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Vintage-1995-Toronto-Maple-Leafs-Away-Royal-Blue-Throwback-CCM-550-Jersey-Small-/330613205873?pt=U_Hockey_Fan_Shop&hash=item4cfa152b71&_uhb=1#ht_1291wt_1071 It looks legit to me but I read in another thread that the CCM vintage collection was something to be weary about...
  8. I bought this Roy jersey off ebay from Rocky Mountain Sports Inc here: http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120937061601#ht_1580wt_1071 I've done searches and I concluded that they were legit. However... I just received my jersey today and although it's listed as CCM 550 series on ebay, it's very different from my other 550 jersey in that the tag doesn't indicate it's 550 and it has no NHL puck embroidery on the lower right back. Can anyone offer any insight?
  9. am I glad I found this thread. I first came across EPS on another thread where it was recommended, but after reading this thread and along with my experience I'll be finding another customizer to work with. After having my jersey done completely wrong by someone based in Toronto, I contacted EPS explaining the problem and Josh's first reply was a defence of his so-called "colleague" (a fellow customizer) explaining how the problem could have been justified. I'm not going to post any pics here (but I will make a thread later on) but there's no way the mistake could've been justified at all lol.
  10. Hmm, yea I thought that also. Even the patch itself - i found jersey's on http://www.goodnflfamily.com that clearly sells fakes from china, that have jersey's with the same patch... The guy is asking for $300 loll...
  11. Hi folks, first timer here - thinking about purchasing a Doug Gilmour jersey off craigslist and I just wanted some informed opinions on here. The seller claims the jersey is a "rare type" in that early in the 1992/93 season the leafs wore jersey's where the numbers "touched the stripe" on the arm (like the bottom of 93 touches the white stripe on the sleeve) - can anyone confirm that? I haven't seen any good pictures where this is true. Furthermore, the seller did provide a picture of Gilmour where it does appear the number touches the stripe slightly although it wasn't conclusive enough because of the angle. However, on the jersey that he has, the bottom of the numbers noticeably overlap with the stripe somewhat. The only thing that's tempting about the jersey is that it's got the commemorative 100th stanley cup patch on it. edit: nevermind, I've just verified that the numbers did in fact touch the jersey as claimed. Still not sure about his jersey though, as the numbers don't "touch" but overlap. Add is here: http://toronto.kijiji.ca/c-buy-and-sell-art-collectibles-authentic-pro-doug-gilmour-leafs-1993-rare-jersey-W0QQAdIdZ459880689 Also it doesn't have the "A" on it
