  1. Jersey fabrics

Bauer/SP did that with a lot of the IHL, and probably AHL, jerseys in the 90's. My avatar is exactly that way, all dye sublimated. My Lumberjacks and, before I sold it, my Spiders were also that way.
  2. It arrived today v. 8.0

They carried the same MSRP as the Canadian jerseys that they replaced. Ok, maybe $285. Point being, they were priced, blank, much higher than the current Adidas. Doesn't mean that anyone who hates them is wrong. No, but the Indo Edge price point is what really disappointed me. They weren't bad products, just way, way overpriced.
  3. It arrived today v. 8.0

One big difference with the Adidas Indo's vs. the Reebok ones is the MSRP. The Edge Indo's were about $300, whereas the Adidas ones are $180, and I bought 2 for much less. That does make a difference. I just look at the Adizero retail jerseys as a glorified replica with stitched crests and strange sizing's. Never once have I thought that these were what was worn on the ice. I really have had limited exposure to the Fanatics replicas. But it seems that because Fanatics is also a retailer, a big one at that, they may have issues getting other retailers to sell their products. I've only seen them in person at the CBJ store, and a retail store that Fanatics owns. Other than that, if they have jerseys, they are Adidas.

There was another on-line retailer (based in Winnipeg) who used to get what was left over from Nike. Got some nice ones, like authentics of my favorite style of Switzerland, and Swift Denmark jerseys. And I do remember going into the Nike outlet store in Niagara Falls,ON and seeing a whole slew of IIHF jerseys, like New Zealand and Israel. Ah, the good old days.
  5. Edge 2.0 vs 1.0

The 1.0 was an abortion, plain and simple. There was an absolute reason that the vast majority of teams in the NHL and AHL dumped it after the first season. And it was completely gone not long afterward. The material snagged, it easily ripped and board burned, and it retained body heat way too much. The stories of players dumping pools of sweat from gloves and pants are true. I posted the first examples of the differences of the 1.0 and 2.0 back in 2008. The 2.0 is a far superior product. Heavier, more comfortable, better looking, more durable. The Edge 1.0 was the "New Coke" of the jersey world (if your under 40, Google that). I just got a couple 1.0 LEM gamers from MeiGray, and I wore one to the game this weekend. Wearing the same base shirt I would normally wear, I was much warmer and sweated much more. That reminded me of why I never wear or even pull out any of the 1.0's I have, which are quite a few. I suppose though that some people wax nostalgic about old things. There is a site where idiots claim that old Bowie RCA cd's made from cassette masters are far superior to the ones made from the true masters (the fact that they pay stupid money for them may play a role in that). I suppose that there is no right or wrong when it comes to taste. I just can't believe that anyone who truly loves jerseys could prefer the abortion known as the Edge 1.0 to the 2.0. Or anything else for that matter. Unless it is the Nike Swift. That's a whole other story.
  6. Adidas NHL On Ice Jersey

The retail ones have those also.
  7. Edge Collars

AHL 2.0's had the RBK tag in them. That's the time frame I was going by for the switch.
  8. Edge Collars

RBK was when Reebok was using the vector logo. When the idiots at Adidas decided to completely neuter Reebok and get rid of that logo, they went to the wordmark REEBOK as their logo. At least they didn't force that awful triangle logo onto any jerseys. IIRC, it was around 2010-2011 or so when that happened, although others may be able to correct me on that. I just wanted to get in another shot at the a-holes at Adidas for destroying the Reebok brand.
  9. eBay version 4.0

I've just bought my 4th item from them, and for the previous 3, I didn't get any feedback from them. So, I will never leave any feedback for them again.
  10. 2017-2018 Jersey Watch

So the AHL is switching to their version of the Adizero next year. I wonder when or if the ECHL and CHL will switch away from the Edge. When the Edge was introduced, the AHL had it at the same time as the NHL, the CHL a year later, then the ECHL.
  11. It arrived today v. 8.0

One other thing I thought interesting: in the box with the 2 Kings' jerseys was one of their folders that they use to send the LOA's in. This folder was empty, of course. I kinda chuckled at that for a moment.
  12. It arrived today v. 8.0

What was interesting was that the "free shipping" items were sent the next day, ordered on Monday, shipped on Tuesday, at my house on Friday. The gamer took an additional day to ship. And I had to pay extra for that. So maybe they send paid shipping UPS, and only ship on certain days, and "free shipping" stuff sent USPS and shipped every day. Or maybe I've just had way too much time to think about garbage like this.
  13. It arrived today v. 8.0

I bought 2 Kings' TI blanks from MeiGray off of ebay last week, free shipping. They sent those USPS. I bought an LEM gamer also off of ebay from MeiGray. paid shipping, and they just sent that UPS.

Great Bjorkstrand. Scored the Calder Cup winner in OT in 2016, so I'll always root for him. Korpi, not so much.
  15. Adidas NHL On Ice Jersey

Wrong, wrong, wrong. They sure were, Edge 1.0. I saw then in the Blueline at Nationwide Arena on the Saturday in September 2007 when the Reebok jerseys were put on sale. And I bought AHL LEM jerseys, Edge 1.0, also in September 2007. And Edge 2.0 in 2008. They were absolutely available.
