  1. It arrived today v. 8.0

I would burn that Madden jersey if I had a chance. He is terrible coach, currently destroying a former Calder Cup winning franchise. I personally think he is an a-hole. Even the PxP guy thinks so, letting it slip to the engineer at the station on one of the AHL Live broadcasts, before they cut the audio. I think his "system" is whatever he pulls out of his anus. Whatever he was as a player, he sucks the big one at coaching.
  2. It's possible. It has the All Sport logo. It is from the 95-96 season. That is the first year for that style, and the only year the logo on the white jersey did not have "Cleveland" at the bottom. That was added for the 96-97 season. And the yellow yoke stripe changed to a darker gold color. Dave wasn't a big guy, so it is plausible that he would have worn a jersey that size. He was an alternate captain, Jock Callender wore the "C". Some of Dave's later jerseys had a big piece of Velcro, and he alternated between the "C", the "A", and nothing. From those pictures, it looks correct, but there should be stick marks all over that thing, because he got slashed and hooked a lot. I was at just about every one of those games, the 2nd season at Gund Arena. IIFC, the IHL switched between white at home to dark at home around the halfway mark of the season, perhaps after January 1. He did miss a chunk of that season, so if it really is a gamer, he may not have worn it much. For the price, I would say you did well on that. Enjoy!

I ordered a white VGK from our hosts today at 2:05. At 3:10 I got an email that it has shipped. I wonder how many of the people who b**** and complain on this board actually do business with the people who pay for it? I know the answer, and it's close to 0.

There is no God given right to buy or own an authentic jersey. If you don't like what they offer, save your money or buy a shirt or hoodie.

When the Coyotes moved to Phoenix in 1996, Starter produced retail authentic jerseys which were made in El Salvador and very different from the ones that were worn on the ice. The gamers, and replicas incidentally, had a straight shoulder yoke along the back, and shoulder patches away from the collars. The authentic jerseys Starter sold for the Coyotes had a shoulder yoke that came to a point and the patches were right up against the collar. I appreciate the passion that a lot of people have, but in perspective, this has been going on for years and probably will never change. At least the NHL somewhat tries to provide fans an "authentic" jersey. Many leagues, NFL in particular, don't. And how many "authentic" soccer jerseys are really made readily available to fans? I don't really know that, so those that do can maybe chime in.
  6. Rise up against Indozeros

Stevia, the sweetener used in Coke Life, does awful things to my digestive system. I will not elaborate. Coke Zero Sugar tastes more sweet to me than Coke Zero. And no, Coke never jumped on the clear bandwagon. The Crystal Gravy commercial SNL did years ago was a classic.
  7. Rise up against Indozeros

It was very sweet, like Pepsi. Coke is more bitter tasting than Pepsi. The "research" showed that people preferred a sweeter tasting beverage than a more bitter one. That worked out well for them.
  8. Where to get info on IHL jersey customization?

HJimm, who was/is a member here, at one time was the biggest collector of IHL jerseys that I ever heard of. I think he may have gotten rid of some of his collection, but he still has a Flicker page with a lot of pictures. He's a real great guy, and is, I believe in Orlando. I hope he and his family make it through the storm unharmed. https://www.flickr.com/photos/37972263@N07/

I stand corrected. Thank you CJ. I had the sound off and was doing three other things at the time. But Ryan Seacrest is still a douchebag.

Henrik Lundqvist was on "Live With Kelly and Ryan" today. I had it on in the office in the background with the sound off while I was making my calls. They did some goofy segment where Henrik and Kelly took shots on Seacrest, wearing goalie pads. He flopped around like the Arse he is. But he and Ripa were wearing customized Rangers Adizero jerseys, without any tags or badges on the body like the Indo versions seem to have.

I went to the OHL preseason showcase in Buffalo on Saturday. All the teams are still wearing CCM-branded Edge jerseys. And from the pictures that have been posted, the AHL will also be wearing CCM Edge's this year. For those that remember, in 2007, Reebok rolled out the Edge jerseys to the AHL at the same time as the NHL, the CHL was a year later, and the ECHL just switched about 2 or 3 years ago. I wonder if the other leagues will switch to this Adizero style at some point, of if it's going to be an NHL exclusive.
  12. Adidas NHL On Ice Jersey

After seeing the Golden Knight's jerseys in person at their team store this week (I had to go see The Who at Caesars Palace), I think they look better in person than just seeing pictures. I felt the material of the ones on the mannequins and I don't quite know what to make of it. The body materials were somewhat similar to the Edge, but the arms and the shoulders with the dimple design felt different. I posted 10 years ago that the Edge looked exactly like the same material that Reebok used on their NFL jerseys, which I saw on display at the HOF in Canton. I can't really compare this to anything else I've touched. Maybe it is what they use on soccer jerseys. But I have no point of reference on that.

I'll be getting 3 TI jerseys from the Monsters when they get their supply for the season, so I'll see if they still have the Edge-style collar, or if they are the Adizero style. I would guess they will be the same as before.

I guess that answers the question I had when I read the article posted about Adidas selling CCM last week, the AHL will still be branded CCM this season for their jerseys. From the article I read, they somewhat alluded to the CCM jerseys being re-branded to Adidas. But that won't happen, at least for 17-18.
  15. adidas sells CCM

From what I gathered from that article, it seems that the jerseys tagged CCM (AHL, ECHL, and CHL), will now be Adidas branded. I still think what they did to the Reebok brand is criminal. It seems like they bought it to kill it off as a competitor, yet apparently many of the shareholders are furious.
