  1. Can someone explain this one to be? http://www.ebay.com/itm/1991-1992-Pittsburgh-Penguins-CCM-Authentic-Size-52-Jersey-Stanley-Cup-3-Patch-/292158259660?hash=item4405fd41cc%3Ag%3AaDUAAOSwDrNZSZX9&nma=true&si=V1zp6MP9rq5Bjt17D5XuN7ATbfA%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557 I know these don't come up very often, but still...WTF
  2. authenticsports19 just post Hawks 2.0 for only $113.29 (after conversion from Canadian to U.S.). The ones they list are Toews jersey, but in the listing it says you can request any jersey you want - that is how I got my Keith jersey. Here is the link to one of them, but I think they have more listed: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Jonathan-Toews-Chicago-Blackhawks-2016-2017-AUTHENTIC-RBK-2-0-White-Jersey-56/302364042539?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649 Edit - they also have a white Maple Leafs for the same price - the one they have listed is a Matthews jersey.
  3. Do these jersey have double elbows? From the looks for the Hawks jersey, it doesn't look like they do. That going to create a lot of repairs for the teams.
  4. It's a good jersey, everything is probably glued on, but way too much for a replica jersey. I have seen authentic jerseys sell for cheaper.
  5. A couple new ones: 2015 Chicago Blackhawks Stanley Cup Duncan Keith Jersey I got this from authenticsports19 on eBay. Not a huge fan of the customizing, and they forgot to sew the nameplate on, but not a big deal, I did that when I put the patch on. But I can not complain too much considering I got it for $125 shipped from Canada. I think they are trying to get rid of inventory, so they might have a lot of deals to me made. With this jersey, I have not completed my Conn Smythe winning Blackhawk players with proper Stanley Cup Patches with the years they won the award. And last, 2003/04 Edmonton Oilers Alternate McFarlane Jersey. I plan on adding the 25th anniversary patch and making this into a Ryan Smyth jersey as some point.
  6. It sure is, complete with proper twill nameplate with rounded edges.
  7. Quick update on this jersey, and I am a little embarrassed it took me this long to see this, but the jersey has custom width extensions on the sides of the jersey. These were obviously added to the jersey as some point. I also compared the jersey to another UltraFil size 52 jersey I had and the sleeves are definitely wider than the average sleeve. The signs are adding up this was a gamer used in that one game King played in the '91-92 season. I order the only hockey card I could find of him wearing this jersey - I hope to be able to possible photo match the jersey to some loose threads or something. If anything, I think I will be able to prove he was wearing an UltraFil instead of an Air Knit. Here are some pictures showing what I found:
  8. But it was customized with Van Halen so that means it is worth so much more! Anything after the 1984 album sucked from them anyway. Do even get me started with the Hager years.
  9. It's a really nice jersey, but I "ain't talkin 'bout love". Great "D" look what you started...
  10. Not hockey, but maybe we can all put in some money and we can own this jersey like a time share. Every two weeks out of the year, we get to wear it. Sounds like at plan! http://www.ebay.com/itm/EDDIE-VAN-HALEN-84-CINCINNATI-BENGALS-PLAYER-JERSEY-NEW-MED-44-RARE-/382116455356?hash=item58f7ea63bc:g:s8gAAOSwY3BZNaEX
  11. I have been having a hard time with people paying lately. I have "sold" a laptop 3 times without someone actually paying for it. I also "sold" my Lidstrom jersey I have listed on here as well, and nothing from the buyer either. eBay needs to do something about it, it's getting out of hand. I have been on eBay since '03 and never had a negative feedback and I have never screwed anyone over, and trust me, there have been plenty of times I over bid or had buyers remorse once an auction ended. But I made an agreement, I do the right thing. Too many crappy people out there. End of Rant!
  12. No, Oxyclean works great on getting stains out, but for glue, get Acetone. Just make sure you wear a mask and gloves - it's strong stuff. But it doesn't leave a residue and it drys super fast. I use Acetone first with an old rag, you sometime have to scrub hard, and you might have to go over areas a few times, but the glue will break up. Once I get it where I am happy, I give it a nice soaking in Oxyclean and warm water. Just let it sit in there for a half hour, you will be surprised at how dirty the water will be. After that, I throw it into the wash, cold water setting and the lowest spin cycle you have. You should have a nice clean jersey when you are done. In fact, anytime I buy a used jersey, I do these last two step regardless of how clean the jersey looks to me. Oxyclean is awesome at getting a jersey super clean!!!
  13. A really cool early '80s Canadiens jersey on eBay right now, loop style fight strap. Unfortantely, a bunch of autograpghs on it including over the crest (which is super hard to get out). It might still be worth it though. Here's the link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Autod-MONTREAL-CANADIENS-CCM-AUTHENTIC-CENTER-ICE-NHL-fight-strap-JERSEY-54-/252968036006?hash=item3ae611e6a6:g:IbgAAOSwPh5ZL4-Q
  14. "You got to pay the troll's toll if you want to get into this boy's hole" (or is it boy's soul?) Best "Sunny" episode ever! Awesome Jerseys BTW!!!
  15. You are starting to see more and more bootleg '90s jerseys showing up. Check out this Blackhawks Roenick Knockoff: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1992-Red-CCM-Chicago-Blackhawks-Jeremy-Roenick-Hockey-Jersey-Size-52-/263011166932?hash=item3d3cafead4:g:wTgAAOSwBOtZAHW7
  16. As much as I hate the Pens, that is a great looking jersey. So glad they went back to that classic look full time.
  17. And now my eBay purchases... 1991-92 Scott King Detroit Red Wings Away Jersey (Possible Game Worn jersey) If I can prove this was a game worn jersey I will keep it as is, if not, I will probably convert into a 1989-90 Steve Yzerman Jersey. 1991-92 Montreal Canadiens TBTC Jersey (This is going to become a Denis Savard jersey) 1993-94 San Jose Sharks Away Jersey (This will soon become a Sergei Makarov #24 ) 2015-16 Derek Hulak Dallas Stars Game Issued Home Jersey (I am probably going to make this into a Patrick Sharp #10)
  18. I went on a little bit of a jersey binge lately...I will start with the jerseys I got back from the EPS sale: 1989-90 Ron Francis Hartford Whalers Away Jersey Front (I forgot to ask to add the captain's 'C' so Kenner is making one for me) 2000-01 Patrick Marleau San Jose Sharks Home Jersey Front (This will get the 10th anniversary patch soon) 2005-06 Joe Nieuwendyk Florida Panthers Home Jersey 2005-06 Henrik Sedin Vancouver Canucks Home Jersey
  19. One last question about this jersey. If it happens to be a gamer from that one game in '91-92 (assuming I could prove it) would it be worth more to keep it as it is, or would it be comparable in value if I strip it and make it into a 89-90 Yzerman?
  20. You can also buy some stuff called Amodex. Its a ink & stain remover. It works great on removing sharpie marks. I actual just use my fingernail to get it into the fabric. Acetone works good at removing anything left over.
  21. I also just found this, a Steve Chiasson 89-90 game worn jersey that has the NHL shield.so they did have UltraFil jersey that had both the big block and the NHL shield. http://www.gamewornauctions.net/products/1989_90_Steve_Chiasson_Detroit_Red_Wings_Game_Worn_Jersey_Autographed_Deceased-5991-158.html
  22. I am completely lost without Slim's book. I need to buy another one so I have access to it while I am at work. So, just so I am correct, the Red Wings would of had 1989-90 UltraFil jerseys at the end of the season with the NHL shield, correct? Any chance this could just be a left over jersey the Wings had for a late season call up for a back up goalie, that happened to get some playing time? *I think LAK74 just answered my question before I asked it*
  23. I believe these are the flat ones, but I took picture in case I am wrong:
  24. Sorry to bump up and old topic, but I need a little help in trying to figure out what I bought. Here is the link to the eBay listing, the jersey has arrived, just haven't had time to take my own pictures of it yet: http://www.ebay.com/itm/322512199069?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT Based on what Slim said above, the Wings stopped using UltraFil in 89-90, but this is a 91-92 since it has the NHL shield which wouldn't have been on the jerseys yet. It has both the size written on the tag, and the size tag on the jersey. There is a player that played in the 91-92 season named Scott King and he wore #31, appeared in one game in goal for 16 minutes. Here is a picture, can't really tell if he is wearing UltraFil or Air Knit: Any help would be greatly appreciated.
