lafountain
Markus Naslund retired today after a 15 year career and with 1 year remaining on his contract with the Rangers. Obviously his best years were with the Canucks and he has been on a downhill slide the last few years. http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/news/story?id=4138020
ZoomZoom18
I know this sounds funny, but I was both surprised and not surprised to hear this. I was almost expecting to see it, but wasn't sure if it would happen or not.
JeffB
Here's my Naslund Canucks jersey. He was one of those players you liked even if he played for a team you didn't.
akteon
I was really excited when he joined the Rangers. Although he had a rough season, I was hoping he could turn it around next season, so I'm sad to see him go. He did show an incredible amount of class by retiring instead of just waiting to see if the Rangers would buy him out (which from what I've read they were probably going to do). ZoomZoom18
I'm kinda bummed that he and Forsberg never got the chance to play together in the NHL. It would've been awkward seeing either player playing for either team, but it would've been cool to have seen what they could've done as linemates.
