akteon
http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=506470 After 21 seasons Brendan Shanahan officially announced his retirement. I know there are some that still never forgave him for asking for a trade out of Hartford and others who didn't always like some of his comments. Personally I enjoyed his style of play (he holds the record for career "Gordie Howe hattricks") and his attitude on an off the ice. He was a player I admired even before he laced them up for my favorite team.

Slightly off topic, but in case any hasn't seen, shop.nhl.com has Shanahan Rangers jersey (white, number 14) size XXL in the Outlet for $49.97. Got mine in the mail today (It Arrived Today!) and it's pretty nice, even for one of those awful Premiers...
