Robert Ullman
15 years ago today, perhaps the ugliest game in the history of the NHL took place, as the Kings and Mighty Ducks unveiled their new Burger King and Wild Wing third jerseys, respectively. Uni Watch has a great writeup, which links to an utterly fantastic article on Kings blog The Royal Half. Well worth checking out. I recall that day well...the Pens, along with several other teams, debuted their thirds as well, and beat the Flyers. The Civic Arena crowd had their towels twirling, as the Steelers would be playing Dallas in Super Bowl XXX the next day. IIRC, I recorded that game on VHS...I should dig it out, there are probably some truly horrific highlights in the intermission report. jukierules
You beat me to it man! Here's a great entry from a Kings blog about that day. http://theroyalhalf.com/2011-articles/january/the-rise-of-the-burger-king.html Robert, you should totally do a series on the jerseys we'd like to forget. That may be one way of making them look good.

nogoal99
Giving a shout out to the BK and WW but no one mentioned it was TGO's 50 in 50 yesterday. For shame. Anyways I thought for sure JeffB would have done an exposé on TSG about these two wonders. If you guys don't check out his blog you should, its a great read. Brilliant!
He must have been a big Oilers fan. Either that or he had a pension for half-naked guys in a locker room.

Anyways I meant no disrespect to your all-star posts as they were all awesome.
