RBKhockey93
After the 2010 winter olympics I really wanted a team U.S.A. jersey, but I couldn't and still can't find a non shady store that sold the jersey design I wanted. So naturally I went to ebay. I found some jerseys that were going for $300+ so I waited a week and went back to the same seller, and there was an exact one he was selling the week before with no bids for $100. So I messaged him where he got it and if he's absolutely positive it's authentic. He said he got it from a store in New York and that he's sure it's authentic. So I ended up winning it for $100 (good thing I didn't spend as much as the other buyers). The only thing that seemed weird to me was that the nike logo on the front was placed differently then it was on the game-worns. But I figured that's just how they made the replicas since all the others on ebay had the same placement of the nike logo (now I know they were probably all fakes). So I got the jersey and to an amateur jersey collector like me it seemed 100% real and I was thrilled. I thought it must be, it has a fight strap (now I know I was completely wrong). But then I found icejerseys.com a few months later when I wanted to get a red wings jersey. I was looking through the forum and saw the thread on how to identify fakes... everything matched up with the pictures of the fakes. I wanted to believe it was real but I knew it was a fake. The ebayer's account that I bought it from is now disabled to there's nothing I can do about it. So now I still want to display it on the wall (and get it framed) in my basement because I think it looks pretty awesome for a fake. I'm wondering if it would be an embarrassment to be displaying a fake, but I don't think the average sports fan would be able to tell. I attached some pictures of it and I'm wondering your opinions... sorry for writing a novel lol. edit: with the tag the images were way to big, could a mod help? http://img641.imageshack.us/img641/5577/img20120227153720.jpg http://img638.imageshack.us/img638/2849/img20120227153733.jpg http://img69.imageshack.us/img69/7537/img20120227154016.jpg http://img692.imageshack.us/img692/8403/img20120227153950.jpg http://img252.imageshack.us/img252/5628/img20120227153925.jpg http://img215.imageshack.us/img215/8804/img20120227153740.jpg http://img803.imageshack.us/img803/3808/img20120227153755.jpg http://img708.imageshack.us/img708/66/img20120227153912.jpg Sorry for the camera phone pictures.. thanks for your help Edited February 27, 2012 by RBKhockey93

DropkickMurphy8
Your first clue should have been the "Hockey Canada" tag. That said, it's very fake. You're not totally screwed even though the eBay account is disabled. You can file a claim through Paypal and get your money back.
RBKhockey93
Yeah I saw the tags and all I knew it was a fake. I'm wondering if you think it's worth getting framed to display b/c it's a fake. I can't find a certified replica of this jersey design
Robert Ullman
I wouldn't waste my time and money framing it. Get your money back and keep your eyes peeled for at least a real replica if you're going to go to all that trouble. Anyone with the slightest knowledge of such thing will spot its fakeness a mile away.

I've been looking for one since I got into this hobby over a year ago. I managed to get my blue USA off Guam64 last year, but I still want a white one to match. If you DO find one, odds are you'll be bidding against me because I'm also a large . Seriously, don't waste your time framing a crappy knockoff. Go through Paypal and get your money back. I can only find my last few payments which were this month after being away a while. I bought this over a year ago.. when I found out it was a fake I didn't really even think about disputing it. I think you're SOL at this point. I think PayPal has a 45 day limit (can anyone confirm?) for disputes.

Yes, the buyer only has 45 calendar days, after PayPal payment is made, to file a dispute or claim.
