Just got back from the Bamboozle. It was eh. Foo Fighters (<3), MCR (horrible), Jimmy Eat World (ok), All American Rejects (great), and 3 bands I have never heard of before, nor do I plan on listening to again

Weezer June 1 2012 The Borgata. Opening act was Sleeper Agent

5 "people rows", dead center

Great show

A group of us had to vouch for the drummer, Pat Wilson. He tried going into the venue and security told him to get in line. He said "I'm with the band". Security didn't believe him and 5 of us said, "He is the drummer!". Security then let him enter.

Just saw John Fogerty live yesterday. What a show. So many favorite songs, it's hard just to pick one. He's a true American icon and a rock legend.

In May i was in Helsinki seeing Ozzy Osbourne with Geezer Butler, so a couple of great legends crossed over from my list.

Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band played just about the longest set they have ever done. 4 hours and 37 minutes in Helsinki yesterday! This includes a 28-minute warm-up that Bruce did solo with acoustic guitar. Bruce and the band started around 8 and played for 4 hours and 10 minutes. Now I understand why they call him The Boss. What an awesome show, and needless to say, my whole body was aching after the concert!

That is crazy! I get excited when I see a band that I like plays 20 songs lol.

I am going to see System of a Down this Sunday! Looking at old setlists, I should hopefully see 26 songs for about an hour and a half.

I cannot explain in words how much I hate System......

Motley Crue and KISS is getting closer, and I might be seeing Nightwish on my birthday, which would be pretty bad Arse since I've been wanting to see them for like 6 years.

I was at the show on Thursday and they played 24 songs. It was a great show and they sounded really good live.

Yea, I just checked and it looks like 24 songs (no I-E-A-I-A-I-O, Violent Pornograph, Vicinity of Obscenity). I think I checked a festival list where they played 2 covers. Either way, Im pumped! Supposed to be thunderstorms though...I would be 2 for 2 going to this venue in the pouring rain with thunder storms.

It was a great set. I was so happy when they played Cigaro. Hopefully the weather is good for you and you have a great time!

Thanks! glad to hear you enjoyed it! I like the way Daron introduces Cigaro, Bounce, and Needles (been watching YouTube clips of them live)

I can add Cheap Trick to my list as I saw them open for Aerosmith a few weeks ago in Philly. Great show at a great price...$30.00 on Stub Hub. Steven Tyler made an appearence during Cheap Trick's set singing the classic "I Want You To Want Me". Money well spent and if you're wondering I sat downstairs, first level.

I saw Cheap Trick two years ago at Paris Las Vegas doing Sgt. Pepper Live with an orchestra and choir. They did Sgt. Pepper in the first half, and then a short set of their classics, then the Abbey Road medley and All You Need Is Love. I got to meet Geoff Emerick, who was the original engineer for the Beatles during Sgt. Pepper. Pretty cool.

System was the best show I've seen live (though the rain/weather sucked)! I felt the same about the Deftones. Did you go to the PNC or Jones (I see you are a Devils fan, so Im guessing you are in the tri-state area).

I actually went down to Camden. I'm about 20-30 mins away from Philadelphia, so I'm about 1 of the 5 devils fans in my area lol.

Haha I was close. Yeah that is definitely Philly Territory. I went to Jones Beach on LI. System was unbelievable! I was lucky...they played Mr. Jack and their Sultan of Swing cover in addition to the 24 song setlist.

Muse has been my favorite band for the last 10 years. I've seen them live 3 times. At the Wachovia center, Prudential center, and Madison Square garden. CAn't wait to see them perform during the closing ceremony later

Going to see The Offspring on September 20. Very excited about this one. Weezer, The Offspring, and System of a Down are my top 3 bands. I saw Weezer 5 times (most recently June 1, 2012), saw SOAD (8/5/12), and now I finally get to round out my favorite bands on 9/20.

Also, the brother and I are considering going to the All American Rejects (which would be the second time seeing them, we saw them at the Bamboozle) on 9/21 in NYC. I don't know if it is too bright considering it takes my old body 2-5 after a concert to feel better, but I would love to go to concerts in back to back nights.

I saw Nightwish last night. BEST! BIRTHDAY! EVER! I met a buddy of mine who I hadn't seen since Halloween '08 and Gigantour '08 before that, but we weren't sitting together. I was up in the lower balcony at the Beacon and he was down in the orchestra, mostly because I didn't think Nightwish was worth paying 80 bucks to see. Holy s*** was I wrong. They were unbelievable, and they played Escapist, which is my favorite song from the current lineup. Made my night. Highly recommend seeing them.

On top of all that, my friend who DJ's at Seton Hall was there with the station, he was sponsoring the show so I got to hang out with him for a while while Kamelot was on stage and up until 5 minutes before Nightwish came on. Went out to a bar on Bleecker and LaGaurdia after to meet a couple of my buddy's friends, some place with 400 beers from all over the world. Like I said, best birthday ever. Anybody who likes metal needs to see Nightwish.

Saw Creed last weekend...6 people rows from the stage. Is it me or does the lead singer look like PA Parenteau?

This week I am going to see The Offspring (with Neon Trees....you know, that band with the two songs that are overplayed on every radio station?) and the All American Rejects (second time, first time that isn't part of a festival).

Where the hell did Creed play last weekend? I had no idea they were touring, I would have gone to see them. Anyway, turns out Vince Neil broke his foot, and while the tour is supposedly going to continue and they played the next night, it was a "limited performance" and I'm going to be pissed if they play half a set on Saturday.

I saw them at the House of Blues in Atlantic City (9/7), but they also played 9/9 at The Paramount in Huntington. The Paramount has some really good acts coming within the next month,

Buckcherry, Kansas and Megadeth are playing there. I won't pay to see Megadeth ever again, not after the Hammerstein incident. Short version is the place was mic'd so poorly that we couldn't hear anything but thrashing guitars and it sounded nothing like music. It was so loud that I actually had some hearing damage and my ears still ring once in a while almost five years later. I'm probably not gonna drive all the way out there for Kansas or Buckcherry either. I'll save my money to possibly see Rush again next month.

My friend DJ's at Seton Hall and could have hooked me up with free Nightwish tickets, but his seats were worse than there I was (front row of the lower balcony at the Beacon) and I thought my seats were great. He's also got tickets to Motley Crue that the station hasn't given away yet and I think he said something about having tickets for In Flames and Dathklok. My buddy loves Deathklok and I'd see In Flames again, so I might go to that for free.

I didn't realize Neon Trees and All American Rejects were opening for Offspring. Good to know.
