RageATheM
So according to this Yahoo article and a recent journal published "Journal of Social Psychology and Personality Science" shows that National Hockey League (NHL) teams who wear darker colors, especially black, are viewed as more being more aggressive. Consequently, they end up being penalized at a higher rate than their opponents. It goes on to say that Red is the best color to wear. Pretty interesting stuff, not sure how much I believe that but wondering other people's thoughts? http://shine.yahoo.com/team-mom/does-uniform-color-impact-sports-outcomes-195300014.html

Sluggermatt15
I would say this may be true. HOWEVER..... in my personal opinion, it's more about the players on a team and the team's style of play. If a team is full of goons, then they have a higher probability of taking penalties during a game, just because of their playing nature, than say a more disciplined, finesse team. Also, playing style can affect penalties taken during a game. Say a team plays a physical style of hockey, they are more inclined to hit the opposition, and in the process be more prone to committing a foul. Just my two cents.
