NYIJM29
Orr's actions are justifiable. The reason they need players like Orr in the game is because the players do not have respect for each other and league cannot police the game fairly and justly. sungod661
Orr does not police shyt hes useless and all he does is take the place of some kid busting his arse to play pro hockey.
NYIJM29
Until the NHL establishes a form of consistency in dealing with players hurting one another, there will always be a roster spot for a goon.
sungod661
i dont have an issue with goons.... I have an issue with this type of goon the one that can't play hockey. The 80's and 90's had goon but they could also play hockey nowadays we have guys like Orr who do nothing but slow the game down and hurt other players. Basically many have said it they are anembarrassment to the game of hockey.
orangecrush8
Orr's actions are justifiable. The reason they need players like Orr in the game is because the players do not have respect for each other and league cannot police the game fairly and justly. The Flyers, for example, do fine with Hartnell and Simmonds "policing". Hence why Shelley barely plays. Whats funny about the whole policing debate is that Shelley will most likely be playing tonight because a guy like Orr is in the lineup. You get rid of one, the other becomes useless
TMLFAN
Love all the armchair GM's talk about how a guy with almost 400 games under his belt has no business playing in the NHL. He's in the league because the real GM's and coaches want him on their teams. Every team needs players to protect the skilled players on the team especially when you have to play the Bruins 6 times a year. The Leafs choose to have Orr, Mclearen and Brown fill that role. To add to Orangecrush's post above, if having Orr in the lineup makes Philly take out a more skilled player to put Shelly in does that not help the Leafs have a better chance at winning? Hmmmmmmmmmmm.
guam64
WHY DO YOU PEOPLE HATE FREEDOM? Heroes like Colton Orr keep clowns like Osama Bourque Laden and Zac Rinaldo honest on the ice.
