Settings messed up?

43 posts in this topic

For some reason, whenever I try to click on settings under my account, I get a wall of text. I get a block of text when I try to hit My Profile as well. As of now I'm unable to fix my sig. What's the dilly?

I get the wall of ascii characters as well ... just scroll down. For the profile at least the rest of the page seems to appear correctly below the giant wall of text.

Viewing my profile works (albeit below the jumble of text as you noted), but editing it does not. For example, I am not currently able to update my signature.

I am experiencing the same issues as you guys. I cannot edit my profile, I receive a jumble of text followed by an error message.

Weird it's ascii characters for me, like viewing a binary file in a text viewer:

I'm hoping CW can get a hold of the IP.Boards and have them look into it.

It would be nice if this gets fixed, I just had to reset my password and now I'm unable to change it.

I just tweeted @IceJerseys about this. Maybe if enough people complain they'll fix it.

While it's annoying, I think we just need to stay patient. Jeff passed on word to the powers that be. CryWolf and the IJ folks are in the jersey selling business not the forum fixing business. Likey this is something that will need to be resolved with some help from their service provider or Invision Power Services, the creator of the IP.Board forum software.

Regardless of what business they're in, if they're going to provide a forum (and I appreciate that they do), they have a responsibility to maintain it. Otherwise turn it over to someone who has the time and desire to handle things like this. This is exactly what happened with JC, the owner got bored and didn't care and in the end the forum died.
