Brilliant!

I've been kinda MIA for a while, randomly lurking for the past year or so but not as involved as I used to be. Got a couple recent pickups in the past month or so plus a couple jerseys I had gotten back from EPS last summer but never got around to posting up. First 2 back from EPS:

And these are recent pick ups including a local QMJHL game worn Remembrance Day jersey

That paintbrush font is so awesome. It's a shame more teams don't use funky stuff like that anymore. Question, the back numbers on those 98-99 all star patched jerseys, are they 10" or 12" high?

Real Sports had a both set up at the local bi annual sportscard and memorabilia show. They had a rack of Marlies gamers for $100 each so finally added one to the collection. I wanted the home version so I just picked one that had a lot of good wear on it.

Funny thing was also on the rack were a bunch of old Koho 6100 rookie tournament gamers from like 10 years ago that they were trying to sell. They must have found them in the back corner of the basement of the ACC somewhere.

That's the away. In the AHL it's reversed.

How about that. Ok, I wanted the blue version.

Oh, I wish I had known about those Marlies gamers. I bet there was a D'Amigo in there.

Nope, would have bought it for you if there was one. Actually, they probably had some of his jerseys for sale just not for $100.

TMLFAN, did you see the booth for Doug Laurie Sports at the far right corner? They had a whole bunch of '06 6100 and '07 Edge jerseys they made up for the draft that they were selling for dirt cheap. They were listed for $40 each and I got 4 of them for $140.

Yup. I was there Sunday afternoon so pickings were slim. I stayed away from the 07 edge 1.0 jerseys because I know from experience those are a nightmare to strip. I did pick up a GC Flames horse head alternate that I'm going to turn into a Kiprusoff.

Got this back from ReichPM in Pittsburgh last week. During the season, Mario does a signing about once a month.

I can almost hear some of you shudder while shaking your heads, but I love autographs...It's my thing.

At least I keep em' on the numbers for an easy swapy-swap if I ever decide to sell some day.

Ah, autographs. You're an awful person who defiles jerseys as a hobby.

Obviously I'm kidding. No need to defend your autos, if you like it you're good. It's not for everyone but it's not like anyone is going to look down on you for it. Or at least they shouldn't...

Autographs on replicas, authentics and GI's are fine in my book. Gamers is another story, but in the end it is your jersey you can do as you please.

I agree, on the theory that you don't want to alter a game worn from its in game condition.

But, as has been said a million times, it's your jersey, do as you like.

Did you get an autograph ticket for Eric Lindros?

I was considering it....but couldn't justify paying 75 bucks to get an auto on a jersey, even if it does benefit charity.

Plus it was not disclosed how much of the proceeds actually did go to the charity itself

Nope. I've been to two signings and didn't really enjoy the experiences that much so I don't bother with them anymore. Also, I'm not throwing down $75 for anybody's signature.

I laughed when I saw some of these -

ps - I'd pay $25 just to shake Jake the Snake's hand

pps - D.B. Sweeney...really?

Though, I suppose it could be worse - http://lonelyvirgil.net/

Virgil used to be at the show all the time here. Lonely Virgil LOL.

Oh my god! He was always at the Autoramma car show in Detroit...lol. he had set up at the bottom of the escalator. We saw him one year and he trapped us into an awkward conversation...then asked us if we wanted an autograph...for $20. I said nothing, turned around and walked away.. just creepy.?

I'm not sure if DB Sweeney signed for anyone at all lol...

I'm working on getting Conn Smythe award winners sign my 2 ft replica Stanley Cup. So I got Lidstrom's and Trottier's auto this time round. But it was quite a busy weekend with a good lineup I must say.
