Whiskeypete
someone was looking for the badger bob patch. don't know about quality on this http://www.amazon.com/Johnson-Pittsburgh-Penguins-Memorial-Patch/dp/B00B8BP96A/ref=sr_1_73?s=sporting-goods&ie=UTF8&qid=1385090188&sr=1-73&keywords=nhl+patch
thepunisher767
After just about two years of searching, I gave in and decided to try my hand a removing the patches from a rather cheap WC replica. They came out super clean aside from the adhesive on the underside. Very excited to be able to complete my Lidstrom ASG jersey as well as having a patch available for whenever I find an appropriate 2011-2012 ASG jersey to customize as Datsyuk. MIGHTY-DUCKS8
How does this one look? http://www.ebay.com/itm/1999-NHL-All-Star-Game-Hockey-Patch-Tampa-Bay-/141115039893?pt=U_Hockey_Fan_Shop&hash=item20db1ca095 It looks authentic to me but i wanted to make sure with everyone else. Is this one good?
LAK74
I would guess it's a repro but it looks so much like the original that I personally would have no problem using it on an authentic jersey. This one is off a gamer:
MIGHTY-DUCKS8
What looks off on it? Also i asked the seller for a picture of the back.
LAK74
There is nothing on the patch that looks obviously "off" to me. What I said earlier was just a hunch (and I could be wrong, which is why I said "guess") based on super subtle stuff which could just be due to variation in production, causing different color threads to be placed in slightly different positions on the patch. It may very well be an original patch- the only thing I can say is that it looks good enough that I wouldn't hesitate to buy it and use it if the price were right. slimcutta
Mostly repros as far as I've seen...he just keeps saying they're authentics, and showing some older pics of authentics, unfortunately.

Whiskeypete
how's this NHL 75 look to you guys? anyone familiar with this seller? http://www.chuckthomas.com/penjer.htm
Whiskeypete
or this one?
chow_hound
Both replica patches. Look for the lines off the "7" to be more static and less clean. The replicas look like solid lines. The originals are very "fuzzy" looking for lack of a better description.
guam64
The Murf and Pat 75th patch is about as close to the real thing as the Washington Capitals are to a real NHL organization.
FuzzyPenguin
How about these? I could stare for an hour and still not know http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lot-of-5-NHL-75-Anniversary-Patches-Hockey-Reg-retail-20-each/321259645168?rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222002%26algo%3DSIC.FIT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D261%26meid%3D3025451485500860957%26pid%3D100005%26prg%3D1088%26rk%3D2%26rkt%3D5%26sd%3D251382583353%
LAK74
Those look awful. The 7 and 5 are way too close together. The tops of the numbers aren't level either. Even the shape of the patch looks off.
Whiskeypete
got me. i'm not entirely sure what i should be looking for. chow hound talks about it, but i am not sure what they mean. need some pics for visual reference. the problem with that ebay lot of 5 is the picture is so far out you can't see close up detail
