BanthaBeard
Hi all, I have a Rangers 2.0 that I need to send to EPS to get corrected for a couple of mistakes made by the original customizer. The nameplate to too curved, the letters are too tall and the drop shadow on the letters is all over the place. The arm numbers are also too big for the Edge jersey. Basically they've given me the 6100-era font size (4" name, 4.5 sleeve #'s). My gamers so far are all pre-2007 so I can't take a decent measurement for what they should be. Is anyone with a gamer to hand able to let me know the measurements for these?
Cygnus X-1
Your best bet is to send it to Arena Wear as they are the team customizer for the Rangers. I don't know if they will strip it though....I feel like I have heard soemwhere that they won't (but it don't hurt to ask).
BanthaBeard
I'm in the UK, so Arena Wear is a no go unfortunately as you can't mail jerseys to them. EPS is pretty much my only option, so wanted to make sure they have everything they need. Cheers.

BanthaBeard
Yeah, I was told a while back that you could only go via the NHL store on Avenue of the Americas and that they wouldn't take customer direct. If that has changed then that is awesome. Have you got a contact there, so do you just contact them via the details on their website? Cheers. Cygnus X-1
The first time I called them to inquire about sending out a jersey to them they told me to send them an email and include that email in the package. They then email/call me when it's done so I can give them my credit card info. I think I spoke to Joe the first time around. If they agree to ship it back to you in the UK, sounds like you should be good. Except for the stripping part. Do you have pics to post of the jersey needing to be corrected? BanthaBeard
Here's the jersey. EPS have said they can strip it and re-customize but they want me to be as specific as possible. The nameplate is too arched and the drop shadow is almost non-existent on the name, it's pretty even all the way around and the third 'A' in Callahan is very wonky (it's worse up close). The arm numbers are also too big. I think the arm numbers on the Edge jerseys are a half an inch or so shorter but I don't have the specifics as I don't have an Edge gamer to compare to, just a 6100. thebiggoalie
Because the numbers ARE smaller than the old 6100's.
BanthaBeard
Because the numbers ARE smaller than the old 6100's. Yes, hence my original question.
thebiggoalie
Sorry. Didn't know if you were asking if they were supposed to be smaller or not. I'm not home now, but I can check the specifics when I get home. Last year, I sent several Rangers edges and 6100's to EPS with No specific instructions, and they did use the correct size numbers for both styles (including my 6100 Liberty) so I don't think you really need to worry about it. BanthaBeard
No worries . I'm sure they'd do it right but to avoid doubt if you could check and let me know I'd really appreciate it. Cheers.

thebiggoalie
I didn't specify anything, except for what material to make the plates from. Edited April 2, 2014 by thebiggoalie
akteon
Yeh big difference in the sleeve numbers ... here's an old picture of two gamers I took When I get home from work I'll see about getting exact measurements if someone doesn't beat me to it. akteon
So I'm just curious- when sending in an EDGE jersey to EPS, do you have to specify a size for the numbers or do they just know which ones to use? In my experience, EPS is more likely to send you the current style. Last time I ordered kits from them, I had 2 Rangers kits for Edge jerseys and 4 for older Rangers jerseys (CCM mesh, and some 6100s) and they send me the smaller sized numbers for all. Josh was cool and immediately sent me new sleeve numbers for the older ones as soon as I told him, at no charge to me.
Cygnus X-1
Cool thanks. Sooooo.....what size were the numbers on the Cosby CCM's?
akteon
I just measured two different Rangers Edge gamers. Sleeve #'s Inner Number: 3 7/16" Number + Shadow: 3 15/16" Name Inner Letter: 3 7/16" Letter Shadow: 3 3/4" Back #'s Inner Number: 10 3/16" Number + Shadow: 11 1/16" Edit: corrected numbers on second measure. BanthaBeard
Thanks a lot for doing that, Akteon. I presume 4 15/16" on the sleeve drop shadow should in fact be 3 15/16, though? Seems too big otherwise. Cheers

Cheers I can double check again when I get home from work, it is entirely possible I transposed a number, but I do know that the shadow size on the sleeve numbers is larger than the shadow on the letters, despite the fact that the inner number/letter of each is the same size. akteon
Yep you were right, I was an idiot and was wrong on both the shadow for the sleeve numbers and the name letters. Both were 3+ inches not 4+ inches. Sorry for the confusion, glad you had me check again
BanthaBeard
No worries! Thanks for checking again. Cygnus, I checked my pre-Edge gamer; the arm numbers are 4 4/16", the back numbers are 11 8/16" and the letters are 4".
BanthaBeard
Looking at this a bit more it looks like the back numbers might have been 13" before the 05/06 lockout. They then went down to around 11.5" between 2005 and 2007, then got even smaller to around 11" on the Edges. Anyone got a pre-05 lockout gamer they can confirm this with? Mnwildfan7000
Need a little help, what is the width of the letters and numbers for the edge era twill on Rangers white jerseys? I have the hight, but need the width of the twill, specifically the number 4 and 9? Any help would be fantastic!
