Looking for the best approximation of Patrick Kane's gear

6 posts in this topic

So, for Halloween, I'm planning to go out as Patrick Kane. I already have his jersey (as you can see by my signature) and I'd like to add to the look. The problem, of course, is that I can't get precisely what he wears since the real gear he wears is too expensive. For example: the Bauer Re-Akt that he wears retails for nearly $300 and I am not dropping that much money for a Halloween costume. The stick and skates won't be an issue as they won't be part of the costume.

So, I need the following:

  • Blackhawks pants shell, preferably by Bauer
  • Blackhawks socks
  • A good black helmet - something close to the Bauer that he wears
  • Decals for the helmet - numbers and the Indian head

Any help would be appreciated.

You didn't add sizes to everything you are looking for.

Well, uh, crap. I don't have the slightest idea how to size hockey equipment. I assume the fact that I (obviously) won't be wearing any pads underneath will be an issue.

A hockey costume without stick, skates and pads? :glare:

Since it's Halloween, why not go as Stu Grimson, "the Grim Reaper"?

What size do YOU wear? It doesn't have to be hockey sizes...

As in, do you wear size 30 jeans or do you wear size 40?

Is your head size small or XXL - I'm sure you've worn a hat before right?

Would seem that if you are looking for specific brands (Bauer) that you'd at least want to make sure it fit???

In my defense, I live in Southern California so I'll be warm enough in the jersey without the pads, and I'll be wearing the uniform to work and my job isn't really conducive to wearing skates or bringing a stick.

I'm not sure how much this would help, but the shorts I'm wearing right now are a size 36, and I wear a 7 3/8ths hat.
