jjjoejr
Do you guys know if CCM ever came out with authentics for the Vintage Series or do they just have a replica line?
Devilsguy
I think they briefly did. I remember seeing Rockies authentics pop up on eBay here and there. That is unless someone was sewing them in there.
jjjoejr
Do you remember which teams they actually made authentics for?
LAK74
There were quite a few- Nordiques, Kings, Rangers, Penguins, Leafs, among others. The only one I've seen that's still being made is the Kings vintage gold. Edited September 10, 2015 by LAK74
jjjoejr
Do you know if they ever made one for the Bruins? Trying to determine if this guy's jersey is legit or not. It certainly looks decent in the pictures... Thanks guys!

thebiggoalie
I had a blank white Bruins authentic years ago that I sold since. They, as well as many other teams, do exist.
jjjoejr
After seeing those posted by Brilliant! guess these are fake. <a href="http://s256.photobucket.com/user/jjjoejr/media/129.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i256.photobucket.com/albums/hh189/jjjoejr/129.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo 129.jpg"/></a> <a href="http://s256.photobucket.com/user/jjjoejr/media/130.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i256.photobucket.com/albums/hh189/jjjoejr/130.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo 130.jpg"/></a>
Brilliant!
Looks alright to me. What are you questioning? Obviously Bobby never wore it but the jersey itself is definitely genuine.
jjjoejr
Really? It doesn't look like it's got the elbows like yours, and also the vintage logo on the front?
Krendelev
I used to own this one. It's an authentic size 52. I also have authentic Maple Leafs, a Red Wings TBTC, and Canucks jerseys from the CCM Vintage series. I've seen authentics from the Oilers, Kings, Scouts, Nordiques, Whalers, Rockies, Sabres, North Stars, Rangers, Campbell and Wales All-Stars, and maybe the Jets amd Seals. I think I still have an old River City Sports cataloug that shows them all. If I can find it, I'll scan in the page they're on. Brilliant!
They made them without the Vintage patches too. But that one you showed DOES have the double elbows. I see the white stitching on the left arm in the picture of the back.

Krendelev
Really? It doesn't look like it's got the elbows like yours, and also the vintage logo on the front? They didn't have the Vintage "V" patch on them.

Like Brilliant! said, the Bruins jersey is definitely legit. Btw, the Leafs Salming road jersey you have in your Photobucket was also available as an authentic in the Vintage Hockey Series. TMLFAN
This is part of the vintage series. I've made modifications to it to make it appear more like the actual jersey the Leafs wore for the one game they used these jerseys.
guam64
http://www.ebay.com/itm/350814265722?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT The Caps had "authentics" for sale in retail for the away jersey and the home was issued for warm-up for the Mike Gartner jersey retirement. To honor Ted Leonsis' tenure as owner, they used the cheap replica front crest instead of sewing the letters individually.
LessThanZero
So, I'm confused. The authentics have a fight strap and the numeric size tags with the Vintage Series tag and the retail have the V patch sewn on them? Did authentic Vintage ever come without the V patch on the front? I assume there are a lot of fake "Vintage" jerseys with numeric size tags? Does anyone have a pic of the legit CCM Vintage tag versus a fake? I've seen a lot of them on ebay and all seem to be fishy, either with the correct tags and size tag but no NHL tag and the CCM tail tag is the press on style. But I've also seen a lot of the retail ones in XL with no fight strap and some with fight straps Edited September 13, 2015 by LessThanZero

The Vintage authentics have a neck tag with blue bars on top and bottom, with "Authentic On-Ice Game Jersey," as in the second picture. (There is some variation in the appearance of the authentic neck tags in different models.) The fake vintages use the gray replica tag, so if you see a gray tag with a numeric size and fight strap, it's a dead giveaway. (Not to mention that the fakes usually look crappy anyway.) As far as I know, an XL vintage replica should not have a fight strap, unless someone just added it on after it was manufactured.

Zeshy25
Does anyone know who did the customization for the Vintage jerseys the Rangers wore in the 2003-2004 season? Here's link (courtesy of nhluniforms) of the jerseys I am referring to:http://nhluniforms.com/2003-04/Rangers.html Is EPS able to do it? Also, from pictures it seems the letters and numbers have some sheen on them. Not sure if I need to get my eyes checked but, numbers look shinier compared to normal lettering on Rangers jerseys. Thanks for any help.
