If so, slimcutta speculated that stripping it would most likely be impossible. EDIT: Nevermind, I just remembered that the DiPietro was an authentic, not a replica. Anyway, you'd probably get more answers if you linked to it so the people with experience could look at it. It all depends on how the stuff was applied and you can't really tell until you get your hands on the jersey and try to take the old stuff off. LAK74 Posted June 16, 2016 Report Share Posted June 16, 2016 Judging by what you can see from the removed letters, there will almost certainly be visible outlines of the numbers left over, due to the staining and fading of the material surrounding the numbers. Much of this won't be covered by the new numbers, and you never know how much will come out with washing, treating with acetone, etc., so it's definitely a big risk.
