Please help ID this jersey

I work with a Russian guy, and he was thoroughly confused by that jersey.  He did some googling in Cyrillic, even, but didn't find anything.  The name is something like Burny/Burnie, which he says doesn't make much sense as a Russian name.  It looks more Ukranian to him, like a nickname.  We also thought the crest was funny, because it looks totally American - the translation above the shield is Old Glory, even.
