Have you ever altered the size of your jersey?

Recommended Posts

I've got a chance to get a Jets 2.0 at a decent price but the problem is that it's size 60. I'm considering pulling the trigger on it and getting it altered to like a size 56. Anyone ever have a jersey altered like this before, and if so any recommendations on a Toronto area shop that can do it?

If I can't alter it I might just get it customized as a Tyler Myers and never wear it...

If I had to guess, the cost of the alteration will ruin the bargain you got, and you should probably just find a 56.

Definitely just wait, considering altering a 60 to a 56 would involve ultimately slimming the entire jersey (which I don't even know is possible), it will cost a lot.

A little off topic but I keep thinking of the reverse situation with Pete Peeters extending his jersey to make it bigger: http://thirdstringgoalie.blogspot.com/2012/02/1982-83-boston-bruins-pete-peeters.html

That's an interesting one.

Wow, that's really crazy. Maybe M&N took their jersey cut from Peeters' jersey? :P

"Someone go get us a game jersey to work from".

Peters was the first they found.

That would be funny.

Dammn dress looks like it would do more harm than good...definitely not a butterfly goaltender wearing that thing.

That's what I was thinking, I'd have hated that when I used to play.
