It Arrived Today....Quad City Flames Edition

I picked up a bunch of these at the Flames Fanattic store, they were $20 each
THe weird thing about these are that the crests are made out of twill, and the layers are stitched to each other. THe RBK Premier flames ones have the while thread/embroidery to divide the black and yellow layers

And i got this from a guy on ebay who gave it to me for $25 for helping him get more for his Game Worn Gord Baldwin Quad City Flames Jersey

Practice-Worn Matt Keetley Quad City Flames Jersey Autographed by the whole team.
Autographs include...

Leland Irving
Matt Keetley
Anders Eriksson
Jamie Lundmark
Matt Pelech
JD Watt
and Kyle Greentree to name a few

$20?!

He shoots! He scores!! skaterred.gif

I'd suggest putting a Teammates for Kids patch on it, but it would probably double your cost once you bought it and paid to have it sewn on! laugh.gif

seriously, I was the only one who bid on it, I have no clue why. its in dead mint condition too. I see you have the exact same jersey in your collection Jeff thumbsup.gif

Glad I could take care of it for a bit for you Scott. What a great jersey.

Here's my latest...

Two John-Michael Liles jerseys in two weeks. That unexpected Meigray sale on Avs jerseys was a nice surprise. This was the first 50% off sale that I can remember that included every jersey except for jerseys on consignment. Had to take advantage. I still should have the FREE Hejduk in my collection, but I made the connection to it disappearing off of the site just a little too late. That's what I get for not paying attention.

This is a set 2, 2006-2007, game issue. Liles changed his number to 4 about 20 games into the season when Paul Stastny changed from 62 to his Dad's old Nordique number, 26. Liles called Rob Blake to make sure it was alright that he switched to Blake's old number 4, and the number trade was made. This was the jersey that was left over. Cool for me and my collection.

Does anyone have any advice? Is it just me, or does the number and name seem out of place.
This Came in the mail today, i am certain it is real, but it seems that it was customized poorly, the namebar and numbers are too low.

The unfortunate part is that the each layer of the twill numbers are stitched directly to the jersey, so i would need to take off all 3 layers and im scared that it would destroy the jersey in the process

Would you say that i am being too picky, or is it really really bad and out of place

Did you send it out to be customized or did you buy it as-is? If it was sent out they should have to redo that for you since it's wrong.

Nope, i bought it as is off ebay, he definitely folded the jersey in such a way in the picture to make it not look as bad. I'd take a real jersey customized poorly over a fake any day still, but i am a little disapointed.

Picked up another Leafs jersey today. I saw this on Kijiji a while ago and finally made an offer on it when I noticed the seller reduce the price after it didn't sell right away. It's not perfect as it is customized with a twill nameplate that I will have to change and the nhl2000 and all star patch were only glued on which I have already stitched on myself but for $70 I am loving this pickup.

I LOVE that jersey. I had a white one that I regret selling. Now I have a blue one, but it's a Nike, but I still went ahead and added those patches because I thought that "busy" looking jersey was just awesome. Let me know if you ever want to part with it!

Looking for Jerseys(size 52, 54):
Rangers TBTC 91-92 CCM
3rd Thrashers 00-03 Koho/Reebok

Looking for Patches:
Hockey Hall of Fame 2006
*Pittsburgh Penguins 25th Anniversary Patch
*Pittsburgh Penguins "Badger" Bob Johnson Patch
*I know we all see these on Ebay, but they are ALL knockoffs. I am only looking for authentics on all of these.

Leafs jersey's will be very hard to pry away from me. I already took off the twill nameplate and removed the letters from it to put on an air-knit nameplate I have coming in, once that's done it will be perfect.

The numbers look alright, just send the jersey to be stripped somewhere if you can. Its a beaut, should be done correctly.

That's a solid point. Resell that one to an unsuspecting buyer and grab a blank cheap to have done up good.

I might do that, but i would feel guilty if i didnt bring it up. I might list it and say that there is a manufactuers flaw on it.

If they feel the need to email and ask what the flaw is, that would mean they dont notice, and i'll say the A on the front is ironed instead of stitched
(i ironed it on myself once i got it didnt notice till after i applied it)

tbh I dont think its a big deal and most buyers wouldnt care if you flat out mention the number is slightly too low
hell I think most people wont even notice/recognize the issue even if you point it out to them without a comparing picture

FJC, I couldn't tell. There are worse flaws on a jersey than that. I wouldn't worry too much about it if you intend on keeping the jersey...or not even if you sell it. Most average hockey fans aren't sticklers for all things correct and precise detail on jerseys.

Eh I like to be completely honest about what I'm selling. I'd rather get less money for it but know that I'm not tricking anyone than take money from people who don't realize they are buying something that is inaccurate. Just me personally though.
