Regarding this weekend's purchase of a Western Conference All-Star jersey...thanks to the miracle of online tracking, I discovered that Fedex couldn't find my house this morning, so I do not have the jersey that I paid for overnight shipping for yet. The shirt was on the truck, still, ARGH! I called Fedex in the afternoon and they will send a message to the driver (oh, I'd like to send one and it wouldn't be very nice). I guessed that maybe it would show up after I left for work.

I moved this part from the NHL thread...

So, my long-awaited critique will have to wait. I logged in again tonight and found that it has been sent back to the local Fedex facility. I called Fedex, again tonight all they could tell me is that they will re-deliver tomorrow morning. This is BS, I paid for overnight shipping and I'm still waiting for the jersey. I thought one of the moderators should be aware of Fedex's screwup.

Hey DR,
Sorry to hear about FedEx dropping the ball on your express shipment. It is very rare that FedEx doesn't deliver ontime, but it happens sometimes for reasons beyond our control. all we can do is make sure we get the package out the door as fast as possible, and it is up to FedEx to do the rest. Between UPS and FedEx, there will always be the odd screwup... but really no other solution is as reliable in general. We used to use UPS, and the same occassional glitches would occur... unfortunately, when a company is shipping so many packages to so many locations around the globe, mistakes are inevitable.
Anyhow, I'm not trying to make excuses for FedEx, but just explain that these errors can occur once in a while, it's just the nature of the beast. As a gesture of goodwill, I will be sending you an IceJerseys eGift Certificate for $20 which will cover your shipping costs.

It's not IJ's doing, they probably have a new driver who drove down the street and couldn't find the house so he gave up. You'd think Fedex ultilizes a GPS system or mapquest to find an address. It's not the first time that they couldn't find my house, not that it's in some BFE location or anything. If it's an overnight package, I expect them to have the package at my house when promised or to have someone get off their duff and get it to me (like that would really happen). I just wanted to make you aware so when you decide on couriers, you have more feedback to throw into the equation, maybe FedEx cares, maybe they don't. You do, however, thank you.

It is here, at last! Fedex even called me to let me know when the package would be delivered. I explained to the driver, who had to call me for directions, where he went wrong in trying to find the house (and to make sure it never happens again! hahaha). Anyway, that episode is finally over.
Oh, how do I like the jersey? That'll be in another thread somewhere later today.
