I think, they did it for the 98-99 season. That´s the only thing they changed.

Well actually I'm pretty sure it was changed for 97-98 because I've seen those game-worn Canucks jerseys with the All-Star patch and they have that newer CCM tag on them.

The AHL is also going the Edge/Premier route this year. This is the home (AHL is white at home unlike the NHL) jersey of the Lake Erie Monsters (Cleveland, OH). They are the top affiliate of the Avs. This is a replica. The roads are yet to be shipped, and hopefullly Edge authentics will be available at the home opener on Saturday. The AHL premier is similar to the NHL, with some key differences:

NHL-Front jock tag / AHL-NO front jock tag
NHL-Sewed-on screened shoulder patches / AHL-Heat sealed-on screened shoulder patches
NHL-league logo on front collar /AHL-league logo on rear middle hem

As for this actual jersey, I like it. The Avs logo is on the right shoulder, and the Monster logo is on the left. The crest "M" is actually the secondary logo. Colors fit with the Avs (parent club), and the Cleveland Cavaliers (owners of the team).

NICE! I loved the numeric font they used during that time. I liked it, the recent style looked good too, but I really dug the previous style.

Yeah I know what you mean. The only better jerseys I thought the Leafs had besides this one were the ones they wore BEFORE this one with the white stripe along the shoulders and arms. Didn't the Leafs use the mesh underarms when Nike did the jerseys too? I thought they did. And the numbers were kinda oversized weren't they? I seem to remember them taking up a lot of the back.

I got this today at Quicken Loans Arena. It's a RBK Edge Authentic Lake Erie Monsters road jersey. This is the first Edge that I've owned. I usually buy size 52, I like the jersey to be loose and I almost always wear a mock-neck shirt underneath. After wearing the Premier that I got yesterday, I had a gut felling I should go a bit bigger, so I bought a 54. I'm very glad I did. The shoulder patches are incredible compared to the Premier. Shame, becaus that's the only complaint with the replica. I can't wait until Saturday! A season without a team was far too long.

Nope, the Caps preorders (if they were ordered directly from the Caps and not from the NHL) were dual-layered tackle twill sewn onto the jersey. (Just the way it should be)

That's a nice lookin' sweater! Glad to see they didn't bungle your customization. I really wish I could get over those heat applied secondary logos on the sleeves, it would save me a lot of cash on getting an edge replica instead of auth.

As for your jersey Brilliant!, I think I still prefer those over what the Panthers have done with 'em this season. I saw them last night here in Tampa, and the piping just doesn't do it for me. On the plus side, they did look better against my Bolts than they have the first 2 games. Glad Holmqvist brought his A game or the match could have gone a lot differently for us. 30 saves? Yikes. Looks like your backup netminder Anderson isn't too shabby either. You guys should put up a good fight this season in future matchups.

This is the team Kovalchuk played for after the lockout, while he was negotiating with the Thrashers. He was threatening to not play in the US after he signed with Khimik but ended up reaching an agreement with Atlanta. This also marks the only time that I know of that in Russia he wore #17. There was a player on the team already wearing 17, but after Kovalchuk signed and said he was going to play games for them, the other player gave Kovalchuk 17.

I just got a pair of jerseys I'm pretty excited about.

First up is a game worn Moscow Dynamo jersey from either 92-93 or 93-94 worn by Sergei Klimovich.

It's got a lot of long black stick marks on it and is pretty light weight mesh as you can see from the photos. And being a Soviet game worn jersey, it's got that special "funk" to it that you just can't quite get to wash out no matter what.



Next up is a Jokerit Helsinki Tackla jersey from somewhere around 1990-91 or perhaps a year or two earlier. The Karjala sponsorship does coincide with Teemu Selanne's time there, but the sleeves and diamonds on the shoulder of this one don't match his last year in Helsinki of 91-92.



I plan on having his yellow #8 and name added to it.

Speaking of Teemu Selanne, I found a youtube video last night of "Best goals of the 1996 World Championships" showing Selanne wearing.... #88!

That Jokerit jersey is effin' sweet! It's just too bad that those logos are screened on instead of twill. Still good stuff though.

That looks like Jari Kurri in that picture with Teemu. I think he played in Finland in 90-91, I know he went over there one year after his Oilers days, could that be him?

According to Hockeydb.com, the only time they played there together was 94-95, the NHL lockout year, but Wikipedia shows Jokerit winning the championship in 92, 94 & 96. Now this doesn't add up. Kurri and Selanne would have gone back to the NHL when the season restarted and hockeydb shows no playoff stats for either in Finland.

So, something's not right. In 1992, Kurri was with the Kings and in the playoffs. In 1994, neither are shown in Finland. In 1996 Kurri was in the playoffs with the Rangers.

Kurri was long gone to the NHL (1980) before Selanne started his career there (1987).

When on Earth would they both have been in Finland together when Jokerit won the championship? Perhaps that photo is in celebration of winning the League points title before the playoffs began? Something isn't quite right here. Plus, from most of the jersey photos I've found, it looks like the Karjala sponsorship didn't last unitl 1995.

After nearly two months of not buying a jersey, I got another Adam Deadmarsh jersey. This time a black LA Kings w/ Crown logo, nothing too special. This does mark #15 in my Deadmarsh collection, although most of them have yet to put the name and numbers on the back, I've got wait till I have a real job with money for that expenditure.

Yeah that is the eBay one. I couldn't believe how much I got it for too. The bidders must not have known what kind of a find it was. It is a 48 and I'm probably gonna add my Stanley Cup 100th anny patch on it. As for the name, not too sure yet. Maybe Nylander just for the cool factor.

Brill...it's a size 50...the smallest size left...I fits like a 48 except for longer sleeves also nice addition...I've been thinking of getting a mesh Rangers jersey for a while...

Zoom...The material is pretty good...very lite in weight and is quite stretchable to fit over equip. The beadaway is pretty neat too but they limit it to only the front side and the sleeves of the jerseys. the back and rib area don't have the treated material which was a bit disappointing

That's been the first Canucks jersey I've liked since they had the skate jersey. I don't consider the throwback/alternate they've worn the last few years to be a more recent one. Its always been one of their originals to me. The colors are just gorgeous and its nice to see another bright blue dominant jersey back in the NHL. The Blues jersey is one of my favorite for that reason. I'm not too big on the wordmark, but it a way its kinda throwback to me. I remember the Blues having Blues written over the note for a time. Quite honestly, I dislike the Los Angeles across the bottom of the Kings jerseys more. The Captain's C looks a little crowded with the wordmark. I was thrilled they maintained a vintage look to the new style.

As for the jersey itself, does the authentic fit like the Premier replica? The sleeves on the Premier replica felt pretty skinny to me, but on the XXL they seemed like sacrificed the extra baggy room to engulf my entire arm lengthwise. If that makes sense.

Nice to see someone buy an authentic edge. I am stuck on what size to get, I like to wear a sweater underneath mine so I used to go with a 52, I like mine baggy. Not sure with the new style if I need to go to 54 or stick with 52, I'm worried the 54 sleeve length maybe too long as the old size 52 on the 6100's were perfect.

Being lightweight do you still find that it is at least durable? I liked that the old authentic had a lot of weight to it.

Ew I'll give you a hint on the two jerseys I'll probably get... 1) this guy tore apart the Colorado D-man 2) this guy got a hat trick on opening night I believe.
