Ugh. I had to do that to a couple of mine as well. You're right - it is subtle. Easy to miss, but then once you see it you can't un-see it. I swear I'm not TRYING to make it this easy for you, Mfitz... (stealth mode....)

For once I'm actually posting something on actual arrival day. Small, but important. 100% pristine 1990 All Star patch.

    The Patch Thread 2.0

$125 with the ultrafil included. Much more than I wanted to spend, but it's the first one I've seen in years available to buy and I've been looking for over 5 years for the chance. As @jsh139 points out, it was definitely a top notch patch. It perfectly matches the one I have on hand now that I know came from the team, not to mention photos of gamers. I didn't get the chance to ask him, but unless he knew something I didn't the authentic BB patch he had pictured didn't match photos of game-worn jerseys. My only thought without asking him is perhaps it came from possibly the reissue jerseys a few seasons later via team catalog? To be absolutely clear - I am not saying it's fake, I just wasn't aware that there are potentially slightly different versions available. Makes sense if so...I've seen a slightly different version of the Pens 25th patch that is authentic also. I've spent all these years searching for a second BB patch that matches the game-worn jerseys exactly that I just can't accept having anything other than the matching numbers/letters on the patch as were on the gamers. I've found 2-3 reproductions that come incredibly close on the font, but are obvious reproductions when in hand, next to the authentic one - slightly different yellow color, sized differently, etc. Worthwhile holdovers until the off chances that I can find another real one, but repro all the same. The search continues.... 😄😭

Even the heavier-duty needles don't penetrate? Have to say, I love those Dallas patches, but that does sound like a potential headache for application as well as future stripping off the patch.

I promise I wrote it without that intention, then realized what I said after I typed it. Right hand up to God. Makes it infinitely funnier. 😂

Hah! I have a whole sheet of them that I printed at once that I'd gladly cut a couple out of to send you. All I used was a hand-held iron at cotton heat setting. Let it warm up for 5ish minutes, then just ironed back and forth as far as I could go - fight strap buttons got in the way, stopping ironing all the way across the strap...which you can see impressions of in the photo if you look - with as much pressure as I could push down with. Ironed each direction left/right back and forth for 20-25 seconds each way, always with heavy pressure. Probably a minute total of ironing time. Let it cool for a couple minutes and slowly lift from the corner, making sure the logo doesn't pull up with the backing. Should be good if you pressed hard enough. If it happened to not, just iron again as per the directions from Avery. Though that probably is why my first attempt failed...ironed again and the smaller detail like the "2017" text was smudged. I practiced on an older heavier weight AE polo. Was still lighter weight than a fight strap, but closer than a tshirt. Polo took the heat transfer much easier than the fight strap did, which is likely why I didn't think I needed to press as hard on my first fight strap attempt. Trust me when I say if you think you're pressing hard enough, try just a little harder and do it a little longer. (TWSS??? @mfitz804) Better safe than sorry, needing to replace the fight strap like I had to on the one. *shrug*
