  1. is this guide accurate? only ccm/koho are semi pro? everything else is a replica? nike/bauer even?
  2. in the early years i have a few with the single tag, and the tag says ccm by maska (100% polyester). red/blue ccm screenprint on the tail. it's that real bad polyester that snags when you walk through a stiff breeze. if those are semipro than a replica must have been terrible. then i have a few that have the screenprinted ccm on the back and the large ice rink tag. the material feels similar to the ones with the maska tag, but smoother. maybe just because they're not as worn. then i have what i believe is the semi pro 550 with the embroidered ccm patch sewn on the tail with a logo next to it. and the ice rink tag. i have some with a different tag at the back of the neck that is the same size as the rink but is blue and black. then all kinds of combinations of all but the earliest, rink necktag +unembroidered patch tailtag, unembroidered patch tailtag+ccm patch on sleeve+new necktag, 550 ccm tailtag+ orange nhl puck patch on tail+non rink necktag. i'm so confused.
  3. saw this today in a thrift store in case anyone else likes terrible s***

  6. this is based on a tattoo several members of my family have. the tattoo design is the embroidered celtic cross, and the initials FJC are usually added. i did the jersey design based on an old notre dame jersey. not really happy with the collar, it's just the same jersey material as the rest of the shirt. would've liked a more golden yellow than a tan. ah well. still the crown jewel of my collection. got one made for my brother, so there's only 2 of em.
  7. I saw a quetion somewhere on some board, what is your white whale for your collection? I remember the Hamilton Bulldogs wore these amazing Hamilton Tigers jerseys for one game and then auctioned them off. this was at least ten years ago. i didnt go to the game or try to buy one and i am kicking myself. i remember seeing little kids wearing them at bulldogs games playing ministicks and rolling around on the floor. shoulda jumped em. ANYWAY i can't even find a picture of the ###### things let alone one to buy. does anyone know what i'm talking about, or confirm that this wasn't a hallucination?
  8. i think twill is an umbrella term for fabrics with a certain type of weave. so as justanothavictim pointed out, it's polyester woven in a twill fashion. or rayon. rayon is shiny so i think that explains the sheen jersey letters have. or maybe a composite of both? here are a few definitions i found for tackle twill. # A tough fabric invented and patented by R. J. Liebe. It was originally used for American football pants. en.wiktionary.org/wiki/tackle_twill # Letters or numbers cut from polyester or rayon twill fabric that are commonly used for athletic teams and organizations. Tackle twill appliqués attached to a garment have an adhesive backing that tacks them in place; the edges of the appliqués are then zipzap stitched. www.qualitylogoproducts.com/Glossary-T.htm # Twill material with a heat-seal backing, usually used for letters or numbers that are cut and sewn onto garments with a zigzag tack-down border. dickssportinggoods.com/info/index.jsp # Text characters cut from twill fabric with an adhesive backing; typically used for athletic applications, the backing allows the character to be ... myitsabout.com/index_files/glossary.htm
  9. i thought wtf that was just their old home jersey but it is actually like a white version of their road shirt. cool.
  10. Anyone have any jersey sewing patterns? i want to make some one off customs with some weird fabrics.
  11. wow that was obscenely helpful. that's nice work on the crests you've made. is there a difference between twill and tackle twill?
  12. i thought the crabs were the weakest one. but that's always the case. whatever i think is bad, everyone likes and if i think it's good it's bad! i'm just learning illustrator so things should be improving. there were some really good artists doing concepts at icethetics. sigma kappa, roccot, ghetto farm boy. you can see a few of them at the msg board at puckdrawn.com
  13. does anyone know what year(s) these were made and if all teams were made? in addition to these, i've seen the sharks, leafs, devils, habs and bruins.
  14. all the pictures were removed from ebay! i can't see any. i love these jerseys. i have a black habs+ducks, blue avs and detroit black is in the mail. i'd love to get a definitive list of these. i wonder if they did every team. and what year were these made? anyone have any pics? Black Series: habs leafs wings rangers sharks ducks avalanche Fashion Jerseys: Rangers Hawks Avalanche Flyers Panthers Wings also the sabres and isles were mentioned but there was no pic so i dont know what category to put them in. and the pattern of that anaheim one is odd. i have the black series ducks and it doesn't look like that.
